Good morning, this is Saturday's United Daily Podcast. I'm Wayne Barton with today's news and rumors. Not a lot going on for Manchester United in terms of active rumours this morning, um but a few associated rumours such as um Spurs or Considering an offer for Adam Wharton, a midfielder who's been linked with the United States. Um over the last year really. Uh not so much in recent months. I think um he's down United's list of priorities for midfield. I think they're confident on um on Mateus Fernandez and want to move on to Carlos Balibra after that, but Wharton still one of those B options. Emerging perhaps uh an A option for Spurs, um Pallas might still be looking Looking to move him on if they can get in the region of eighty million pounds for him.
Wayne Barton 1:01
Um as I said yesterday, you can expect Spurs to be linked to every single player that United have been linked to in recent weeks, and that's just the way that it goes, isn't it? And whether or not their interest is um i is is concrete, I don't know. I don't know a lot about Spurs as a transfer activity, to be honest, but they have been linked with Waterness. Morning. Uh Real Madrid may be looking to move on one of their French midfielders, Chumene or Camavinga. This is obviously a story that's been uh rumbling for a few weeks, but with with Real Madrid recently reappointing Jose Mourinho, it was said that meetings have been held about um the players that they want and the players that they want to to move on.
Wayne Barton 1:44
Tuomene is an obvious one because of the discipline issues at the back end. ended last season.

Is Croatian midfielder Baturina really linked with a United move after his England goal?

Wayne Barton 1:48
But Camavinger's a less obvious one. He'd be a very good buy for someone. He's he's versatile and he's so good on the ball. Played a left bike, played defensive midfield. Two areas where United could really do with a player if they were moving him on for a reasonable fee. I think United should be interested. Whether or not they are I'm not sure I think they're looking at specialists. There was a rumour or a story in the athletic that um went something along the lines of United still trying to determine what they want from Patrick Dogu um and that will determine whether or not they go for a winger or a defender. To me he looks like a winger. Don't know if you can improve him that much defensively because there's a a positional awareness black hole within him.
Wayne Barton 2:36
Then again Dio go Dallas as that, doesn't he? So um I don't know. We'll see on that. Um United's options in the transfer market will Be swayed by how they see um Dogu to be honest, or or perhaps uh the affordability of one of the alternative options, Somerville, as we said yesterday, still uh commanding a high price from West Ham, Lewis Hall, Newcastle reluctant to let go, both of those clubs wanting more than fifty million pounds for the player, which seems a bit steep for United's current situation. Um United It have also been linked with Martin Bacharina, the um Croatian midfielder who scored that great goal against United. He's had a great season with Como in Italy.

Which Real Madrid midfielders could become United targets this summer?

Wayne Barton 3:20
Um but this is just one of those Carol I'll I'll call them a Carol Poboski link. If they've played well in the World Cup like Yandi Amande or uh Buarde, they have a good game. The next day they instantly link to United. Um I don't think there's any truth in this. There was a a story that United have actually had a bit tabled for him. I can't see that already. Um I really I can't s their their concentration is so heavily focused on the other midfielders that they've had on their target list for some time. Um I can't see um this being upset at this point. Um United's fixture list was announced yesterday well the Premier League fixture list was announced yesterday. Um Sky Sports and Amazon um tweeting nonsense stuff about United's easy start and easy running.
Wayne Barton 4:07
Um no other clubs had their fixture list analysed Um I wonder if there's something in the the rumour that all clubs play each other twice home and away. I know United's um start and running has been um analyzed to go viral.
