Um but more pressing and close to home, more well deserved. Lou Makaru was awarded an MBE. Obviously there's been a unofficial um quiet campaign by a lot of United supporters and probably some Stoke supporters as well. People local to Stoke. Um who wanted Macari to be given a knighthood for his services to homelessness. Um he's probably more renowned for that now than his football career. He's done such incredible work locally in Stoke. Anyway, he was awarded an MB um Mm well beyond time. He he's really deserved that for such a a long, long time.
So congratulations, Lou. Um Transfer Gossip United have been linked again, th the link to Matius Fernandez is an interesting one because um Real Madrid were linked with him yesterday. Um and I think this was just a a a bit of a nonsense link in the emanating from Spanish press, but it put the um spooks up some um United fans who thought, you know, Real Madrid will come in, you know, you've got the new manager there, Jose Mourinho. He's gonna want to bolster that midfield. The issue is that Real Madrid have got such a stacked midfield as it is that they already need to move players on and I don't think that they're in a position to spend eighty to ninety million play uh pounds on a or euros on a on a footballer when
You know they've got Canavinga. um Bellingham, Valverde, um Chiumene who's also been linked with the move to United. So they'll they're probably looking to move one on before they bring one in.

Um Arsenal and City are interested. In Illman and Dai, this the Everton midfielder looking to get a move on this summer. United were inks with him. I expect him to move. It'd be interesting to see where he goes because I don't think he's top of United's list. United are also looking to move on midfield as Manuel Agate. His name is in the press this morning. I think it's more to do with the fact that United are briefing the reminder that he's a Available for transfer. Um not a lot of interest apart from the old Turkish links resurfacing, but uh, you know, whether or not they're gonna get a lot of money from from Turkey, I don't know.
In a in odd one, United um are relaying the pitch. Old Trafford, they've done all the fan days and the experiences for everyone to go and play on the pitch. Um like they do after the end of the season. Um there's uh lot of pictures on social media about them relaying the pitch. Some people thought it was being lowered to take the the ramp off, but it's not. Um there's too much going on with the undersoil eating there, but um you know what it's like on social media.
