This is Tuesday's United Daily Podcast. I'm Wim Barton with today's news and rumors. Brazilian midfielder Edison is close to a move to United. All terms are agreed apparently. Um nothing from the um big sources like Olnstein, so there's nothing to say that the the transfer is actually imminent. I think United are just li lining up their eggs. Um this stuff. Pursuing the major midfield targets, Edison. I think they've got everything wrapped up as they need it to be. United have an agreement on the fee there so that Atalanta don't mess around in the same way that Brentford did last year with Brian M. Bumo. Barcelona are reported to be holding fresh talks with Marcus Rashford before the World Cup. Well, with United to try and find an agreement.
How likely is Ederson’s move to United and what are the obstacles?
Rashford wants to go to Barcelona. Uh he's hopeful that they'll find a way to get that deal over the line. United are open to that conversation. It'll be more about how Barcelona structure the thirty million euro fee. I can't see that United'll drop any lower than that considering the um performance of Rashford over the summer and uh over the season and the fact that there probably will be one or two si uh clubs willing to sign him over the uh Summer as well. Roma are linked with a move for Joshua Xerxes. Um disappointing end to the season for him. Disappointing two year spell at Old Trafford really. Never really done much. Scored on his debut. Had a moment against Arsenal where it seemed like he might change the flow of the tide.

Well Bruno Fernandez has done the Diary of a CEO podcast. I'm not sure how happy the club would have been with this and uh certainly some things would have not been run by the club because Or or at least not cleared by the club because there a blockbuster of a lie uh of a line that came out of it, he said he was responding to Bruno Fernandez's criticism after the Nottingham Forest game. He said, Like I've always said, I don't mind criticism, I've always taken it from any everyone and anyone and I never reply to anything. Um people have an opinion, they think it's good or bad. What I don't like is when people lie about things. In this case it's said about Roy Keen, basically what he said is a lie. Because either he saw some other interview or he can't say that I said one thing that I've just not said and luckily for me everything is on record.
I accept his criticism, I accept that he might like me as a player or not, like me as a person or not, but what I don't like is that he puts words in my mouth that have not been said. That's the only thing I don't like. Or I think that's just um That's a a case of things getting blown out of proportion. Keane reacted to something paraphrasing an interview and and Fernandez has taken that literally uh in order to keep it bubbling along, um, because he'd obviously be upset with the way that Keane responded and that's how these things escalate, isn't it? Seems it's just one of those things ruthlessness, uh which we had all associated Ferguson and Keenan.
