Hey, it's good to be here. Thank you so much for the opportunity.
Super duper welcome. I appreciate it. We're fresh off of our communication and leadership conference. So do you want to start there or do you want to start Somewhere else.
Yeah, let's start there. Let's let's let's talk briefly about CLCon two thousand Twenty six, our communication leadership conference. It was a great Conference overall. I had a lot of fun. Um Me too. What did you think? What did you think, Angela? How was your experience as an attendee?
I think it was awesome and I think partly because I stayed over the entire time at the hotel. It made it even better. In fact, I was thinking recently this weekend. We've had a week and a half in between now. Um, it felt like the full you get to stay when you go to Disney and you stay on property, you get the full immersion. And when you stay off property, you don't. So it kind of was that. Feeling for me? Absolutely. 'cause I've gone to Disney a couple of times staying with friends and whatnot off property. So it was Fantastic. I attended every single thing. Like I didn't miss a thing. It was awesome.
Absolutely. Yeah, Natalie and I, for those who are listening, Natalie's my fiance of course. I think she's well known now in the Toastmasters community. We stayed at a beautiful bed and breakfast actually right down the road called Proctor Inn. Um I would highly recommend it if you're looking for a good bed and breakfast. And of course, this year was the co-education chair for CLCOM 2026, which was a great experience overall. We've received numerous positive reviews. You know, Toastmaster members and those who attended really appreciated and enjoyed the educational breakout sessions that we had, as well as the keynote speakers. And then in addition to that, we had the gala, which was a fantastic event.
And then also in addition to that, I finally achieved my Pathfinder Award on a personal level here, which was a huge accomplishment. And overall had a really great experience with CLCON two thousand twenty six.
That's fantastic. Congratulations on earning your Pathfinder. Um, I do wanna ask have you tell people what the Pathfinder is, but I wanna go back and finish talking about CLCON first. Uh I think it's important to note we had two world champions of public speaking and a runner-up, which as She said it was basically the same as winning, except you don't have that actual She'll be in title but when you do the percentages it's point zero zero something. That caught my attention.
Yes. Yes. What caught my attention actually about that, I remember the session that they had on Sunday morning, Breakfast with Champions, hosted by Stefano McGay, of course, right? Incoming international president elect for Toastmasters International. Huge shout out. One thing that Mary mentioned was that she was the first female winner for the conference that year or the Toastmasters International. championship because of course a male won that year and so she was the first female runner up if you want to consider that, which I thought was a great call out and really put things into perspective, right?
