Chapter 1: What does Amy Gledhill reveal about her costume regrets?
Hello there, it's Ed Gamble, host of the Taskmaster podcast. I'm at the Taskmaster house. I'm in the caravan at the Taskmaster house. And today we'll be talking about, you guessed it, Taskmaster. Series 21, to be specific. To be even more specific, episode 6. And we'll be chatting with the brilliant Amy Gledhill, an amazing contestant competitor on this series of Taskmaster.
She's an amazing comedian. Can't wait to have Amy here in the caravan today. So let's get on with it. This is Taskmaster Series 21, Episode 6, as discussed by Amy Gladhill. Welcome, Amy, to the Taskmaster Podcast. Woo! Nice to be back in the caravan. It's lovely.
Chapter 2: How does Amy feel about working with a famous teammate in Taskmaster?
It's nice and warm in here.
It is, yes.
Yeah, the seat's been heated by the sun and I sat down and I went, oh, they've got heated seats. And I thought, no, no, no. We're in the caravan.
In this rickety old caravan, we've put heated seats in.
Just for the pod. They take them out for the series.
It's so luxury when the series isn't filming. What you can't see, there's actually a small swimming pool back there. It's fantastic to have you on the pod. Thanks for having me. You're amazing on the show. We're going to be talking about episode six, which is, of course, called An Even Bigger Spoon. You got the quote.

Chapter 3: What embarrassing possessions does Amy share?
I'm so honoured. I am so honoured. It's like my biggest achievement.
To get a title.
Yeah, it's huge.
Yeah, it is huge, actually.
It's huge.
It is huge. I think everyone does get one, but... Oh, right.
You didn't need to tell me that.
Well, look, in the comments, I'm sure people will say when someone didn't get one.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Chapter 4: What does Amy think it means to be brave?
Do you know what? They both really sum us up as people as well.
Because David Baddiel picks Q for an alphabet thing.
Yeah.
And I said, you probably just get the quavers. And then rather than saying quavers, just put them in the thing and say, quisps. Quisps. Yeah. Bit of fun. I love that. I was like, I think I got one. And then I know exactly what it was.
Did it? I don't know. So what happened was David Baddiel.

Chapter 5: What musical instrument did Ed learn in school?
I think about it every night. And that's why I got this tattoo.
Yeah.
When I write my gratitude list. Let's talk through, first of all, I think there's some things that people are going to want us to talk about. We're going to have to talk about how starstruck you and Joel were when you met Camille for the first time.
I genuinely didn't think that would make it into the edit. It was just this tiny little moment between me and Joel.
You didn't think it would make it into the edit?
No.
But also, it wasn't just a tiny little moment. It was that moment, which was big. It was a big moment. And then seemingly throughout the team day, you were constantly referencing how famous he was.
He's so famous.

Chapter 6: How do Amy and Ed discuss the game of conkers?
He is so famous, though. You must know him. Yeah, I know him. When you first met him, tell me your brain didn't go...
He's so famous.
He's so famous. But yeah, it's weird seeing someone that famous up close in real life. He's in Hollywood, which is in America.
Yeah, like the other bit, the furthest bit of it.
The furthest bit of it is far. He's come from far with his big arms and his jawline. He's incredible to witness.
The arms are mad.
It's, I mean, it's very rare you see a specimen like that.
Yeah, poor Joel, man.

Chapter 7: What humorous moments arise during the live task?
He was certainly looking forward to being the most muscly one. I know. He looks like a little boy next to Kamail.
Oh, gosh, I didn't even think about that.
First thing I thought of.
Did you? You were like, oh, he's not going to be the ripped one of the team. Gosh, yeah.
And I'm sure Armando felt the same.
I'm not going to be the ripped one.
Did you get any advice when you were going on to the show? Obviously, you know a lot of people who've done it in the past. Did you speak to any of your friends about it?
Everyone just says, oh, it's the most fun you'll ever have. Just have fun.

Chapter 8: What are the final standings in the Taskmaster series?
It's not good advice, is it? You're like, shut up. Tell me exactly what to do and when. And the only advice I wish somebody had given me, but nobody did, was I wish I'd have worn, like, comfy clothes. Yeah. And what I will say is the first day of recording the tasks, I had shorts on, but they were short shorts.
And there was a point where production, God love them, had to have a very diplomatic and gentle conversation with me to say, shall we put you some bigger shorts on? And I was like, yes, please. I'm so sorry.
A conversation they did not have with Matthew Bainton when he... When he did his series, they were like, put some shorter shorts on, Matthew. Pop those balls out. Thank you very much. Imagine if you turned up episode one in the studio and you were the new Matthew Payne. So they were having to blur stuff.
Just stuff just falling out. I don't even know what. Just stuff just falling out. Blur it.
We're not going to be specific about it, but stuff's falling out.
Stuff's falling out. I'm sorry to say it, but stuff has fallen out. Where? Don't worry about it. A load of old mess. Just a load of old mess.
Anyway, welcome to the show. Is the outfit, like, is it a Flintstones riff?
It's like a cave woman styling, but modern.
Modern, yeah, yeah.
