We're on our holiday.

0

59.001 - 66.275 Unknown

We're on our caravan holiday, Ed. You and me. We're on a romantic break in the back garden of the Taskmaster house.

0

66.295 - 71.264 Ed Gamble

It's lovely, isn't it? It's great. We're having a nice time. Welcome back to the Taskmaster podcast, Jenny.

71.324 - 72.887 Joel Dommett

I wouldn't like to go on holiday with you.

72.907 - 73.107 Ed Gamble

No?

73.368 - 73.829 Joel Dommett

Why not?

Chapter 2: How does Jenny Eclair feel about the Taskmaster series 21 lineup?

73.849 - 75.752 Joel Dommett

I know some of your habits are disgusting.

0

75.732 - 76.815 Ed Gamble

Talk us through some of them.

0

77.075 - 81.687 Joel Dommett

Right. Well, I listened to your other podcast, you know, the one where you talk about eating food.

0

81.747 - 83.21 Ed Gamble

Yes, Off Menu with James Acaster.

0

83.23 - 91.21 Joel Dommett

Off Menu, yes, which I've done and enjoy it hugely. But there was one I listened to where I thought, Ed, that is gross. And it was about your cushion habit.

91.19 - 94.296 Ed Gamble

This was on your episode, actually. Was it on my episode?

94.316 - 108.203 Joel Dommett

No wonder I remember it. I was there. Sometimes I'm never quite sure. But you said how you ate off cushions, because I eat off magazines, which then can be put in the bin once they get disgusting. But you have foul cushions.

Chapter 3: What humorous habits does Ed Gamble share?

108.183 - 111.186 Ed Gamble

I put a cushion on my lap. Yeah. And then I put a plate on the cushion.

0

111.226 - 113.528 Joel Dommett

Yeah, yeah. And it's the same cushion, isn't it?

0

113.689 - 115.11 Ed Gamble

Yeah, it's the dirty eating cushion.

0

115.37 - 128.183 Joel Dommett

Dirty boy. Dirty boy. And I noticed, because Ed used to be fat. Does anybody know that? He used to be a fat boy. And when you came in the caravan, as a sort of self-comfort thing, I saw you do that thing where you put your T-shirt out.

0

128.203 - 129.325 Ed Gamble

Yeah, just get my T-shirt out. Yeah, yeah.

129.345 - 132.328 Joel Dommett

In case it got trapped within a roll of fat, which you haven't got anymore.

Chapter 4: How do Ed and Jenny play the new game in the caravan?

0

132.668 - 136.838 Joel Dommett

And then you admitted to me you'd quite like to have the cushion.

0

136.858 - 140.887 Ed Gamble

I think, yeah, my comfort would be putting the cushion across my stomach.

0

140.907 - 143.994 Joel Dommett

Probably to hide your erection from chatting with me.

0

144.315 - 154.846 Ed Gamble

Well, it's quite an intense environment, isn't it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So you wouldn't like to go on holiday with me because of my eating habits and my erections? Yes. Fair enough.

154.866 - 164.483 Joel Dommett

Because I tell you what would happen with the erections, right? It would knock the cushion off kilter and then your food would slide on. That's a mighty erection.

164.503 - 169.392 Ed Gamble

That's a huge compliment, Jenny. Thank you very much. You think I have an erection that could flip a plate over.

Chapter 5: What insights does Jenny provide about her experience on Taskmaster?

170.384 - 178.461 Joel Dommett

With a full roast dinner on it. Yeah. Oh, my goodness. Well, there's a game we can all play. There you go. Unfortunately, I can't.

0

178.561 - 182.609 Ed Gamble

No, but it's a good format. I think you've got format rights on Bonaparte.

0

182.629 - 184.453 Joel Dommett

Cock and cushion. Cock and cushion.

0

184.473 - 186.317 Ed Gamble

Cock and cushion. Cock and cushion.

0

186.297 - 187.92 Joel Dommett

Let's talk about Taskmaster.

187.94 - 190.164 Ed Gamble

Yeah, let's talk about Taskmaster. Let's do it.

Chapter 6: How do the contestants approach the prize task?

191.125 - 193.409 Ed Gamble

This is the first time we've had you on the podcast in the caravan.

0

193.81 - 194.21 Joel Dommett

Yeah.

0

194.23 - 195.072 Ed Gamble

Is it nice to be back?

0

195.392 - 217.891 Joel Dommett

Well, it's not quite as damp as it used to be, or maybe it hasn't been raining for a few days. But last time I was here, I do remember thinking I'm going to get trench vagina if I stay a second longer in that damp van. But it does take me back. It does take me back to childhood holidays. Caravans are a thing, aren't they? And my parents had the smallest caravan in the world.

0

218.792 - 223.881 Joel Dommett

And yeah, it's a long story. I've got a memoir. You can read about my caravans.

223.861 - 230.13 Ed Gamble

This is a wonderful opportunity to plug your memoir, Jenny. Well done. What are your thoughts on this new line-up for Series 21?

Chapter 7: What were the strategies used in the studio tasks?

230.21 - 233.635 Joel Dommett

Okay, I'm going to look at the line-up here. I've got more written. Amy Gledhill, I've met her.

0

233.776 - 233.996 Ed Gamble

Yes.

0

234.196 - 252.383 Joel Dommett

Right. Amy, I've met backstage and watched her on stage. It's really hard for me to listen to other comics when they're on stage. Yeah. A, because of the bile that comes, the jealousy, the bile. Yeah, the pure jealousy, yeah. Yeah, choking, choking jealousy. Sometimes just have to leave the wings to go and be sick. Yeah. Get rid of the bile. Yeah.

0

Chapter 8: What are the final thoughts on the episode's performances?

252.363 - 266.294 Joel Dommett

But no, I think Amy Gledhill is a very nice woman. Armando Iannucci. Yes. There's no reason why he'd want to talk to me, but he has. Yeah. And he's been pleasant. I mean, it's like that kind of, he knows I'm riffraff. He just knows.

0

266.434 - 268.138 Ed Gamble

I don't think Armando thinks you're riffraff.

0

268.158 - 271.724 Joel Dommett

Oh God, he does. He does. You know, he's an educated man. He can just smell it.

0

271.744 - 272.886 Ed Gamble

He is a very educated man.

0

272.906 - 288.811 Joel Dommett

Yeah, he can smell my riffraffness. Joel, Joel. It's great that Joel kind of is playing up to his kind of, well, he looks like, well, a middle-aged rent boy, a tiny bit middle-aged rent boy. Sure, yeah, yeah. But with this like goofy charm.

288.972 - 289.913 Ed Gamble

Yeah, he's very charming.

289.893 - 301.331 Joel Dommett

The goofy charm actually doesn't wear off. It gets better. Originally, you think, okay, enough goofy charm. And then about 20 minutes later, when he's laid it on quite thick, you think, no, I'm lapping up.

301.452 - 303.054 Ed Gamble

Well, this is genuinely who he is.

303.315 - 304.436 Joel Dommett

Yeah, I think it is.
