What is the main topic discussed in this episode?

Jack Bernhardt 0:03
well there we go a familiar tune to you and i jack yeah you'll know won't you when i've got dementia when you play that song and i go what's that what's going on what is this well this is going to be i was just thinking this is going to be an episode where you have to relive a lot of your past so you know like like in a sense this is going to be you know like how much do you remember of that this might be like a memory test
Jenny Eclair 0:28
Well, I remember most of it, but the trouble with watching yourself on screen, A, you think, I don't like my hair. I don't like those glasses. I'm glad I don't wear those glasses anymore. I thought that my studio outfit, the big yellow, and I gave that dress to a charity shop the other week. And I didn't feel like running to the charity shop to see if it was still there.
Jack Bernhardt 0:51
Right, right, yeah.
Jenny Eclair 0:52
I'm glad my wardrobe is clear of that. I don't think that's a dress you can wear twice on television. It's a big yellow tent of a dress.
Jack Bernhardt 1:01
I mean, I thought I enjoyed it.
Jenny Eclair 1:03
Yeah, it was bright. We should say. I brought some colour into the studio and that was always my job.
Jack Bernhardt 1:10
Because everyone else was really not bringing anything, let's just say.
Jenny Eclair 1:14
No, and I always feel like an effort must be made. So I'm glad I did that, and my scarf looked nice. It was a good scarf. Yeah, so that was okay. But, you know, I'm always checking the jowls, and I think there has been some jowl decline over the past four years. I don't want to see myself from the side anymore, ever.
Jack Bernhardt 1:37
Well, with that in mind, we should explain what we're doing today because it's quite it's a momentous day on the podcast. It's the first time we've ever we've ever, ever, ever done a series 15 episode. Looking back, because usually, obviously, in our homeworks, we are we're finding episodes that you haven't seen before. So we can educate you about the show. This is one of your series. This is an episode of your series. So, yeah. This is very exciting. That's Alan's suggestion. I think it's a great suggestion.
Jenny Eclair 2:05
It's a great suggestion. Thank you, Alan. But I think it became quite obvious that I could have played the game better now with all my homework under my belt. That's interesting. Oh, okay. So we'll have to talk about everything that you did. At no point do I look for a hack in anything. I just do the task. I don't look for ways around. I don't look under a table. I don't look on top of a caravan. You know, it's a real sort of basic bitch performance.
Yes.
Jack Bernhardt 2:33
I see. I think that that is an endearing aspect of your time on the show, if that makes sense. I think you've got people who are going to be doing the hacks. You don't have to. Ivo is looking for the hacks constantly. That's just what Ivo will do because he wants to try and like gain the system. May's very good. And they'll see like the little things here and there. You have the energy of I'm so excited to be here. What's going on? This is great. And I think if you start looking for hacks, then people will be like, what's going on? What's going on with this with this excitable toddler?
Jenny Eclair 3:03
No, I basically wanted to do the task, enjoy it, and then have lunch. That's the vibe, really.
Jack Bernhardt 3:09
That's an important, I legitimately think this is an important aspect of the show. You need every kind of life experience needs to be encapsulated in the five. And I think that while obviously in the future, if you were doing Taskmaster again, I think you would come at it from a hack perspective. I'd come at it with cunning. i think you would yeah i think you would i'd win i'd actually win i think you might and also i think what would be good is you could probably what you could do is lure greg into if you do the whole sort of like oh i don't know what i'm doing oh god give us a few pity points and then just like kick off in like episode seven just like planning a strategy i think i can't get away with ditzy blonde anymore um you know 66 i don't think greg is going to fall for ditzy blonde
Jenny Eclair 3:57
Acting from me. He's going, oh, fucking hell, what's wrong with the old hag?
Jack Bernhardt 4:01
In this episode, you did a couple of things where I was like, oh, you've pulled that out of the bag there.
