They were. First, yeah, I remember going to Fishguard in an actual old-fashioned caravan like this, except it was blue on the outside. And it was like the proper old-fashioned caravan. And we would sit here and we would play cards. Because I was a bit thrown. Like, whenever anybody came in here... Everybody was a bit like, oh, God, you know, we don't like it in here. Oh, God, this is awful. And I just thought, oh, it reminds me of home.
I mean, it's a little bit worn around the edges, this one, I would say.
And I kept thinking on my series of all the things I wanted to take home. Like that dog, he was there. And I would have taken him home. I'd have taken the cat home. And there was just like the furnishings and stuff. I just thought, oh, God, yeah, this is my style. I like this.
Well, today's your chance because there's not going to be anyone really because we're the bad boys of the production. So we're really not part of it. So we'll cast a blind eye on you taking stuff.

No, I didn't know anybody else at all. And oh my God, I just remember thinking, wow, everybody is amazing. They're all like comedians. They're all really, really funny. And I just thought, I can't believe that Armando Iannucci is doing it. And that I'm going to, my God, I'm going to be working with him. So that was half exciting and half utterly terrifying. It's Armando Iannucci, for God's sake. I was like, oh my God, oh my God. And then just getting to work with him and sit next to him.
And being in a team with him as well.
Yes, I wasn't sure if I was allowed to say that, but oh my God, I remember that day. I turned up and because I mean, I was just like, oh my God, it's Amanda Wainucci, it's Amanda Wainucci. I turned up on the day and they wouldn't let me come into the house. I had to go down to the golf course down the road and I didn't twig that there was anything happening. They just said that we're building something and it's quite intricate. So I was like, right, okay, okay. And then when they eventually got me here, they said, right, just go in through the gates, walk through the garden, go in and then go into like the scary room. Like that room with Greg's picture behind. I've always classed it as the scary room.

Oh my God, put me in a lab, right? Because it's always like puzzles and things you've got to kind of work out. And I love all of that sort of stuff. This is homely and I feel safe here. But put me in the scary room. And it's always right to either make up a song or a sketch or do some acting. And that was the room that scary things always happened to me. And I remember walking in and opening the door and just looking. And there was a man sitting there with his back to me. And I first thought, oh, my God. Oh, my God. It's another human. It's a man. Oh, God. And then I thought, right, OK, how do you act with a man? You're going to put someone there. You're going to have to communicate with them.
