What recent developments are shaping the UFO/UAP conversation?
Fellow kids, I think we need to be honest about something. We spill stuff in the car like it's our job. I once dropped an entire blue slushy in between the seats. More fries end up on the floor than in my mouth. That's why I'm getting my dad WeatherTech for Father's Day. And you should too. These tiny fingers can't be trusted. But a laser-measured floor liner from WeatherTech will save the day every time. So, happy Father's Day. Visit WeatherTech.com for your dad today.
I think they're watching us very carefully and they are adapting as they need to because we're not the same society that we were in 1947.
What does that say to you then about the nature of this whole phenomenon?
They appear to be engaged in monitoring. They appear to be engaged in approaching for a certain period of time. They engage in what I've come to call data denial. So this is not disclosure. What we are seeing, I believe, is the result of a kind of tug of war going on behind the scenes. I just do not think, based on any behavior that I've ever seen in this phenomenon, that they have the slightest desire to actually communicate with us in an open way. They have total command of every situation that they seem to be engaging in.
Joining me on the podcast once again is author, historian, lecturer, and all-round wonderful chap to listen to speak about the UFO topic. And as many of you could, like myself, we could listen to it all day. And we've got him here for a short amount of time. Welcome back, Richard Dolan. Hi, Andy.
It is always a pleasure to be back here with you. And thanks for inviting me again.
Yeah, no, great to speak to you about all the stuff I have coming up, Richard. Not least of all, for those who can see the podcast, volume two of your book, History of USOs, is finally out. And shout out to Alan Levine, who illustrated this one too. Some wonderful illustrations.
How does Richard Dolan define the difference between disclosure and contact?
And we're going to get to illustrations and how they can be so important. When we speak about drop three of the UFO files and the release, and we're going to get to your book during the course of the podcast too. But Richard was so much to speak about. I was telling you before recording, I had around about 300 questions sent over for you via Patreon, via email, via YouTube, um, contact form, um, Those have been built in as much as I can to the body of the interview. We'll get through what we can. So, folks, thank you so much for sending over your questions. And I've tried to group them into various sections just so we can get as much out of Richard as possible before he drops dead from exhaustion and going through all of those.
And it's a bit of an exhausting time, I think, for a lot of folks involved in the UFO topic, Richard, before we even start getting into particulars. Middle of June 2026. How are you feeling with the topic in general?
The topic of UAP or UFOs? There's a couple of ways to answer that. So on a personal level, I am as fascinated by it as I've ever been in my entire life. I've been studying this now since I was in my early 30s in the early 1990s. and I'm now in my, I'll say, mid-60s, and I've not lost any interest at all. My interests have evolved, so I mean, I love studying case history still, but I'm really interested in understanding, let's call it, alien behavior, as particularly as we can kind of understand it through the behavior of the craft not even the behavior of the beings that people encounter although we can i can that's interesting too but just doing kind of behavioral analysis of the of the craft and what they appear to be doing i'm just absolutely fascinated by that but the entire subject still interests me uh now to look at it in another way uh let's say the broader community evolution of this how how the subject is being treated i'm much less happy
to say i think we have a kind of a kind of disclosure mania that i mean i support i support a total complete honest ufo disclosure i always have but uh i'll just give you a perfect example you and i just before we recorded we were discussing the third white house tranche release of uap files and
