And today on the show, we're talking about some late summer movies we missed, the winners and losers of an extraordinary season at the box office and the ghastly results of our summer movie preview game. And after that, something cool. Earlier this month, a new program on the Criterion Channel launched, collecting many of the films from filmmaker Abel Ferrara, the man who made King of New York Bad Lieutenant Miss 45. And many other classics, I helped to curate that package. There's an intro on the channel that features me talking about Ferrara's body of work and why it matters. Later in this episode, I'll be joined by filmmaker and friend of the show, Ben David Grobinsky, for a deeper dive into Ferrara's work and what makes it so special.
