That is the theme of this week's episode, 10 great movies that are shockingly long. Because in the movie review, we'll be talking about Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, which comes in right around three hours. How do we feel about long movies? Are they worthy of your time? And in the trailer park, We will be talking about Tom Cruise, unlike we've ever seen him before, in a new movie called Digger that's coming out later this year. And my question is, Tom Cruise, is he trying to win his first Oscar ever? That's right, Tom Cruise has never won an Oscar, so we'll talk about that. Might be his best chance in a long time.

I think when it comes to movie runtimes, everybody is concerned with length, but they should be concerned with girth. And what that means is you should not look at a movie and say, oh, that has a three-hour runtime. That's going to take forever. I don't want to watch that. You should be concerned with the girth of the movie, meaning length. Is there enough substance in that story? Who is the director? How are they going to flesh out this story in order to make this film feel robust and worthy of that long runtime?
