Your conversation with Tucker Carlson was so refreshing. And was so interesting. And as someone who I am deeply religious, the amount of respect and tenderness that you showed towards those of us that are religious and not dismissing the important questions or our deep faith was awesome and rare. So thank you for that. And I hope that you receive similar feedback.
Well, thanks for having me, Charlie. It's great to see you and I appreciate what you said about my conversation with Tucker. Let me just emphasize to your audience that the divide that has existed between scientific materialists, for lack of a better term, and people of faith has been extremely destructive. And a lot of the responsibility for that falls on the head of strident atheists who have completely failed to understand the importance of religious faith in the story of human evolution. So while I know that we disagree on a few fundamental matters, we don't disagree on the importance of those questions to human well-being.
Absolutely. And that is quite the segue to what we're going to be talking about this hour. And so I was texting you back and forth because in that conversation with Tucker, the COVID vaccine and the COVID shot came up as a topic. We had a guest on last week, the commissioner of the FDA, Marty McCary, who signaled that probably maybe the COVID shot will be removed from the childhood vaccination schedule. This is a must. This is an imperative.
brett let's just kind of get through the facts here it's still on the childhood vaccination schedule what is the significance of that let's start there well there is a tremendous significance at multiple different levels and i will say i'm sure we will talk later in the hour about president trump and his relationship to these vaccines and what i think it implies for his second term But the fact of the mRNA vaccines being on the childhood schedule is not his responsibility. And his ability to right this great wrong is a tremendous opportunity for him. I hope he will recognize that. The first thing to say, though, is that there was never any justification for injecting kids with these mRNA shots.
