Well, that was the sound of Antonia Niedemeyer, Cassian Nivia Doma's Canyon Sram teammate, telling us a bit about what she was saying into the race radio as Cassia Nivia Doma went onwards, up Von 2, stage 7, taking the win, taking the yellow jersey. It was a breathless stage, uh, wasn't it, Denny Gray? I mean, we're still here on Mont Vontu, aren't we? And it's And it's just like the race was never here at all. I mean I mean the race must have finished about an hour ago, hour and a half ago, and it's just like So serene.
It is very serene. Well they're they're now packing up the cafe. Uh and uh I mean the finishing gantry is pretty much gone or is going and um no spectators up here, no teams, no riders, just a handful of people. And uh I remember well I was speaking to our friend Renza Lolkomer this morning at breakfast and uh he he remembered the first time he was up here uh when Pantani raced Armstrong and he wrote the lines i uh in his article that if he wanted to be alone Von Tu would be a good place to be and and it I can see why now.
It's amazing, isn't it? And and we got such a huge view, obviously, because we are right just uh next to the weather station, is it? That famous. And we're looking out just for miles and miles and miles, aren't we? It's like in the Lion King, uh, where Simba's just looking at all of this kingdom. It just goes on and on and on and nothing is anywhere near as tall as we are now on Mon Vontu. It is still in typical Vontu style. It is windy, so um I'm hoping that you you can hear us uh clearly. Um Well we better get on with it. We don't want to be like Lionel Burney and Graham Wilgos and and camping out here, do we, Denny, like they did last year. Um so well yeah, tell us about what happened on this stage seven of the Tour de France fan.
