Transcription

Chapter 1: What possible new name did the A's leak?

0.031 - 3.576 Unknown

This is an iHeart Podcast. Guaranteed human.

0

5.158 - 27.81 Covino

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged. It's the enhanced games. Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year. Within probably 10 days, I put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

0

28.297 - 37.66 Covino

Listen to Superhuman on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, this is Robert from the Stuff to Blow Your Mind podcast.

Joe and I are both lifelong Star Wars fans, so we're celebrating May the 4th with a brand new week of fun, thought-provoking Star Wars-related episodes. Join us as we tackle science and culture topics from a galaxy far, far away, such as the biology of Tauntauns and Wampas on the ice planet Hoth, or the practicality and corporate business sense of the Sith Rule of Two.

58.639 - 81.625 Unknown

Listen to Stuff to Blow Your Mind on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2023, Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd was accused of fathering twins, but the pregnancy appeared to be a hoax. You doctored this particular test twice, Ms. Owens, correct? I doctored the test once. It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern.

82.465 - 84.549 Unknown

Two more men who'd been through the same thing.

84.809 - 86.512 Ryan Burschinger

Greg Gillespie and Michael Marancini.

86.832 - 112.194 Unknown

My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trapped. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. When a group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist, they take matters into their own hands.

Chapter 2: What are the implications of playing prom vs. playoffs?

651.281 - 673.051 Covino

But I think I would advise my kid to wear the – you made a commitment to this team. I would tell my kid, you have one prom. You're not going to want to look back and be like, I skipped my prom. Yeah, but like I said, why can't they party afterward? The game is like two hours. Are they – I mean, again, this is just poor scheduling. I'm sure there should be some adjustment made. 877-99 on Fox.

0

673.071 - 682.184 Covino

It's a national story for a reason. For a reason. One last call. Two more calls. Let's go to Alabama, Todd. We're never going to agree, guys. What's up, Alabama?

0

683.886 - 701.558 Unknown

Hey, guys. What's going on? So I played a baseball playoff game and went to the prom. Same night? Well, we started at 1 o'clock, moved up. Game ended up being 13 innings. We won.

0

703.7 - 721.42 Covino

Well, that's what I'm saying. They should make some type of compromise. He's basically saying move the game up so they can do both. To live the perfect life of Alabama. What's his name? Todd. Alabama Todd. Alabama Todd got it right. I mean, they should move the game. This should not be an issue to begin with. I think it's awful to put a kid in that scenario.

0

721.54 - 745.05 Covino

Choose your senior prom or play in a playoff game. That's something a kid shouldn't have to choose. Schedule makers, put it in AI. Make it work. Who else we got? Wrap it up with who? Yeah, we wrapped it with Todd. Thank you, Todd. Now, there's another baseball story, which is kind of funny. This is funny. It involves, I call them the Sacramento A's because they play in Sacramento. Yeah.

745.09 - 747.053 Unknown

Legally. I might be going. What is it?

747.073 - 756.145 Covino

The Mudskipper Stadium? What's it called? The what? I always forget. What is it? Sutter Health? Some sort of like catfish. What is it? Mud cats? Mud cats?

756.165 - 757.386 Unknown

No, not the mud cats. It's not?

757.707 - 779.825 Covino

Sacramento A's. Mudskippers? The Scallywags. I got it. I always forget. Rich and I have been there, and I'm going there again to watch them play. I was right. It is Sutter Health Park. Yeah, but what is the name of the team that plays there? The Mud Chickens. No, it's like the Mud, Mud, Mud. Is it Mud or Crud? The Mud Guppies. The Ass Grabbers. The Tough Mudders.

Chapter 3: How does the game 'Brainwave' work?

1534.097 - 1540.266 Covino

Listen to Look Back at It on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

1540.246 - 1556.448 Ryan Burschinger

Welcome to my new podcast, Learn the Hard Way with me, your host, and your favorite therapist, Keir Gaines. And in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, I'm bringing over a decade of my own experience in the mental health field and conversations with so many incredible guests. I'm talking Tripp Fontaine, Ryan Clark.

0

1556.668 - 1565.68 Ryan Burschinger

Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing, we get so wrapped up in the chase that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing.

0

1565.66 - 1578.517 Covino

And we're still chasing it. And we don't know when we've done enough. Because people scoreboard watch. Life becomes about wins and losses. Steve Burns, Dustin Ross. Because you find it important to be a good person while you're here on earth?

0

1578.537 - 1587.448 Unknown

Or are you a good person because you're afraid? Because that's two different intentions, bro. Absolutely. And that's two different levels of trust. I want you to just really be a good person.

1587.428 - 1600.746 Ryan Burschinger

Join me, Keir Gaines, as we have real conversations about healing, growth, fatherhood, pressure, and purpose on my new podcast, Learn the Hard Way. Open your free iHeartRadio app, search Learn the Hard Way, and listen now.

1605.35 - 1628.985 Covino

It is the first of the month. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony style. It's the first of the month. Can't believe it's May already. Pay your rent. The legend of the rent is way past due. Uno de Mayo, four days before the big fiesta. Something takes a part of May. Iowa Sam on the ones and twos. Danny G, super producing 877-99 on Fox. It's Covino and Rich Friday.

1629.025 - 1650.553 Covino

And the NBA playoffs are here, and DraftKings Sportsbook is an official sports betting partner of the NBA. Right now, use promo code CRSHOW to claim your special offerings at DraftKings. Again, that's promo code CRSHOW at DraftKings. The crown is yours. You root for all Game 7s? You're rooting against the teams that are up 3-2 tonight? Why not? For the fun of it? Yeah, except for Danny's Lakers.

1650.573 - 1671.871 Covino

Sorry. No, yeah, rooting for the Lakers. Listen, it's time to play, I think, a lot of people's favorite game, Brainwave. Let's go. Do Covino and Rich really share the same brain? Is their crew not far behind? We're one. Welcome to Brainwave.

Chapter 4: What are the highlights of Weekend Hobnobbing?

2207.534 - 2229.566 Covino

The drums, the saxophone, or the piano? No, easy breezy. You think so? Yeah. There's a lot of arguing online about this. Music category. Which of these instruments is the most impressive to shred on in front of a live audience? The drums, the saxophone, or the piano? Locked. Wait, there's an instrument missing where that term shred actually comes from.

0

2229.606 - 2231.088 Unknown

That's because that would be the answer.

0

2231.109 - 2250.56 Covino

Right. That would be a runaway. Okay. All right. Thanks, Sam. We're all writing our answers down. All right. I'm locked. Yeah. All right. And Isaiah, we need your answer on the count of three. One, two, three. Drums. It's got to be the drums. He says drums. All right, we go in reverse order. We start with Iowa Samuel.

0

2251.641 - 2254.484 Unknown

I think this is a personal favorite.

0

2254.584 - 2267.017 Covino

I said the saxophone. Who are you, Bill Clinton? I love me a sax solo. Get out of here. Who are you, Kenny G? I love a good sax solo, man. It gets me going. Was that Baker Street?

2267.037 - 2267.737 Unknown

Yes, it was.

2268.278 - 2286.58 Covino

Can you isolate that, by the way? A good sax solo gets me going. But the question was the most impressive. Yeah. I feel like there's a lot of impressive drummers, but when someone really gets going crazy on the piano, we were just talking about still DRE. I said piano. All right, we go to Bersh.

2287.049 - 2298.002 Covino

I think when you go to a show where there's a drum solo baked into the show where the rest of the band leaves and there's, I've never been to a single show where that's happened and it's not been impressive. So I said drums.

2298.022 - 2298.782 Unknown

I said drums.

Chapter 5: What farewell messages were shared for Ryan Bursch?

2454.862 - 2476.262 Covino

Brainwave, I should say. Isaiah, thank you for listening every day in Idaho and playing the game. We appreciate you. Appreciate you guys. Thank you, man. Have a great, great weekend. And like Danny G said, this is a farewell and a goodbye to our good pal, Bershey boy, Ryan Bershey. Don't leave. A tremendous run here at Fox Sports Radio.

0

2476.302 - 2492.79 Covino

He was walking on in these hallways long before we got here. Yeah, and Jay Stu, I know you wanted to say your own farewell. Jay Stu. Let's welcome Jay Stu to the show. First of all, thanks for having me on your show. I love being on this program. I will be on the program all next week with Dan Byer and Monsi Bond.

0

2492.81 - 2493.011 Unknown

All right.

0

2493.031 - 2513.818 Covino

Fantastic. Jay Stu. But it's not about me. I'm not going to make this about me. I'm going to make it about Ryan Bershinger. I'm going to speak for the network here for a second and say that nobody is nicer and nobody laughs at your jokes harder than Ryan Bershinger. So interpersonally, he's just a great guy to have around and he's going to be missed. Professionally speaking.

0

2513.95 - 2538.979 Covino

The very first person that I met when I walked in the building at Fox Sports Radio five years ago was Ryan Bershinger. He was assigned with teaching me the ropes, showing me the place. It kind of dawned on me like six months later that Ryan Bershinger could do my job. And he was told to train this new guy to do a job that he was qualified to do. He was completely gracious and unselfish.

2538.959 - 2560.303 Covino

He could have resented me. He could have sabotaged me, but he was so generous. And that lived out for the next five years. He's a professional. He's proactive. He takes the initiative in this creative space that we all exist in. You want somebody to bring you ideas. You want somebody to ask you if they could help. Ryan Bershinger does that.

2560.904 - 2575.166 Covino

Anybody could just show up and do what they're supposed to do. Ryan Bershinger went above and beyond that, and he became the one word that all of us try to become when we leave a shop, and that's irreplaceable, if that's a word.

2575.747 - 2577.089 Unknown

It is now. It can't be replaced. Thank you.

2577.51 - 2579.533 Covino

Hey, well said, Jay Stu.

Chapter 6: What are the upcoming sports events to watch this weekend?

2896.88 - 2915.916 Covino

Friday. Kavino and Rich live from the Fox Sports Radio studio for over 40 years. Tire rack. Been helping customers find the right tires for how, what, and where they drive. Ship fast and free. Backed by free road hazard protection. Convenient installation options like mobile tire installation. Tire rack. The way tire buying should be. Tire rack.

2932.754 - 2943.785 Covino

0

2943.805 - 2964.407 Covino

Now before we get to weekend hobnobbing, the guy that's been here for over a decade, long before Kavino and Rich took our talents to South Beach, long before we came here, Ryan Bursch was around the hallways here and a guy that's going to be sorely missed. So Bursch, the mic is yours. Farewell, my friend. What's going on? Well, it's incredibly kind of you guys to give me any of your airtime.

0

2964.447 - 2983.146 Covino

That's so nice. It's not lost on me that it's incredibly rare to get to do something that you genuinely enjoy for a living. And it's even more rare to be able to do that with people that you love doing it with.

2983.126 - 2989.895 Unknown

I am going to miss seeing all of you around because the people here are great, great people.

2990.096 - 3007.277 Covino

It is a ton of fun to spend every single day with you, and to not have you in my life every single day is going to be tough. I'm going to miss you guys so much. I thank you all so much for just being who you are. It's so important because this is radio people. You have to be who you are. You have to be real.

3007.838 - 3018.167 Covino

You know, sometimes people listen to these shows and they think people are just putting on a character. No, you can't. You can't do three at four hours a day as someone else. Everybody here is super genuine, super real.

3018.768 - 3023.312 Unknown

And I love you all. So thank you all so much for giving me this opportunity.

Chapter 7: What are the key moments from the episode that listeners should remember?
