Chapter 2: What challenges do the Knicks and Nuggets face in the playoffs?
You know, I can't wait to buy a new jersey. I'm still rocking the jerseys from, like, the 90s. Did the Yankees ever use that logo that we think of from the 80s? The top hat? The upside-down top hat? Well, there's speculation that the alternate might be a variation where that's the patch. Okay. So, you know, we'll see what happens.
But I'm all for it, and I'm glad that they're trying to change it up. Because you know what the other argument is, too? Why don't you worry about winning a championship first and then worry about jerseys? It's like, stop being so lame, everybody. Let them... You guys confuse me when you talk about New Jerseys and also New Jersey. Have you ever talked about it? That's confusing.
Yeah, you know what? It is. Bought a New Jersey in New Jersey. Well, guess what? I'm a guy buying a New Jersey from New Jersey. Is that confusing? Yes, yes. All right, so I'm Steve Covino from Union, New Jersey. Rich Davis from Franklin Square, Long Island. Danny J, he's from the Barrios in Los Angeles, and he's in the sink for you this hour because he's very pumped. about Fernando Mendoza.
That was the deal months ago. We said, Danny, if the Raiders do get... I never agreed to it. This was if the Raiders get the number on traffic, which they did. How's it a deal if he never agreed? Rich just kept saying this over and over. Just foisted upon Danny. Just because you keep saying it doesn't mean he agreed. My wife says the same thing.
She goes, just because you say it over and over doesn't mean I'm going to do it.
I think that's a great point, Danny.
I really do. I'm not trying to stifle the fun.
You know what, though?
For Rich and Raider Nation, I'll do it today.

Chapter 3: How did the NFL draft affect team strategies?
You saw that up close and personal. The best example of that ever was if you watch that documentary about the Red Sox, how... When Theo Epstein, in his 20s, takes over the Red Sox and he has the huevos to be like, yeah, we got to get rid of Nomar. And everyone's like, I'm sorry, what? You mean like the face of the Red Sox?
But getting rid of Nomar Garciaparra was what took the Red Sox to the next level. And I'm not saying the Hawks are there. Of course, them to get the pieces they need and play more like a team. But dare I say, Danny, rewind a year. I really believe 80% of jerseys you saw a kid probably wear in Atlanta were Trey Young. No doubt. Oh, big time. And now they're dominating like that's wild to see.
Yeah. So congrats to them, man, for pushing it. Goes to show you, too, that that's the equivalent to your quarterback on NFL before the NBA team. Can they lead you to the promised land? I mean, there are Knicks fans who say, and it will stand by this, that they don't think Jalen Brunson can get them there.
But he's a special player, and Knicks fans, there's a portion of them that still don't think that he can get them to the finals. The NFL quarterback analogy is a perfect one because you can have a good quarterback, but you might say, good, but I don't know if he can win us a Super Bowl. I'll be honest. Truth be told, I thought that was the Sam Darnold story, and he proved us all wrong.
A lot of people thought that was the Jalen Hurts story, and he proved you guys wrong. Yeah, that's true. Two firsts the last couple years. Let me throw something at you, Danny, with the NBA. I don't believe in throwaway games at all. If you can win, you win. But Lakers are like double-digit underdogs tonight. I know it's in Houston, and they just look pretty damn good.
And LeBron... And KD is not 100% healthy here. He's got two little nagging injuries right now. Do you like the Lakers getting double digits? I mean... That's a lot. I mean, all of a sudden we're going to go to Houston and the Rockets beat the Lakers by double digits? This is kind of cliche, and you hear it every NBA postseason, but it usually rings true that the role players play better at home.
And so we'll see some of those players come off the bench and start hitting the shots that they missed in Los Angeles. Well, tonight you got some great NBA action. I know, Danny, you'll be locked in to the Lakers. What a great week for you, huh? Some good Lakers wins. Dodgers. I mean, even when they struggle, they struggle for a couple of games versus the Giants. It's so funny.
The Dodgers struggle and they're still like five games better than everyone else. Two losses in a row and Dodgers fans are like, oh, no. They have no idea what it's like to be a Mets fan. Or now a Phillies fan. Take the heat off of me, alright? Philadelphia deserves the heat. They are going for loss number 10 tonight and guys like Schwarber are like, hey, we're trying not to press.
I don't know how the Mets and the Phillies could both be in the bottom tier of the NL when, in my mind, those are the two teams you'd be like, oh, they're pretty, yeah, who could compete with the Dodgers? Two teams that just are about to lose 10 in a row? Like, should we be looking at young teams like the Pirates and the Cubbies have sort of rebuilt a bit? Like,

Chapter 4: What are the highlights from the recent NBA games?
I'm in a good mood. When we were at the Home Run Derby last year, I don't know if I've ever seen someone hit the ball as hard as O'Neal Cruz. O'Neal Cruz and Ellie De La Cruz. But O'Neal Cruz, that lefty swing, I felt like the ball explodes off his bat even more than John Carlos Stanton. And John Carlos Stanton, to me, sometimes he hits the ball and I'm like, it's in the stands already.
No, Rich is not lying. Like, O'Neal Cruz, he didn't win. He didn't hit the most home runs. But when he connected, I was like, oh, my goodness. It was insane. There was a couple times where it sounded like he broke his bat. Yeah. It was so loud off his bat. It's different off his bat.
And you've got to see this blast.
You hear baseball nerds say stuff like, it sounds different off his bat. But O'Neal Cruz, it does. Like, there's something about that dude. He is awesome. A monster. So, cool play you definitely have to check out. Now, if you want to play Brainwave, we're going to give away a prize. This is a fun game we play every Friday.

Chapter 5: What are some fun plans for the weekend discussed?
Fred Flintstone bowling. No, that's Fernando Mendoza's ringtone. Okay, got it wrong again. No, the other game. The other game. We call it brainwave. Hit it, Sammy. Do Covino and Rich really share the same brain? Is their crew not far behind? We're one. Welcome to Brainwave.
Try to make sense of the brain. It's easy.
We drop fun sports, music, and entertainment questions. And if you match with enough of these bozos, you win.
I love that. On the count of three. Brain wave. One, two, three. Yeah. You guys are on the same wavelength right now. All right. Happy Friday. The questions in this game are all subjective. You just got to try and match the brain of CNR and the crew. Going to get our contestant from the studio lines right now and then explain the rules. Kevin in Corpus Christi, Texas was the first through.
Hey, what up, Kev? Hey, what's going on, fellas? Big fan, big fan.
Thank you, man. Thanks, buddy. Hey, Kev, what do you do for a living there in Texas?
I deliver uniforms, man. That's what I do, brother.
Can you deliver an alternate away jersey to Michael K and all the lamos on the fan that are crying about it? On the way. Here's how the game works. I have five rounds ready to go. Our contestant needs to win two of them to be the champ and walk away with a CNR prize pack. I'm going to ask a question and then give three debatable answers to choose from.
The five of us in studio are going to write down our answers on a dry erase board for our YouTube channel. Let's do it. Yeah. Oh, wait. One, two, three, four, five. Are there six of us today? Damn, look at that.

Chapter 6: What unique performances are featured in this episode?
He swears he saw a moose running down his street in New Jersey. It wasn't my street, but it was a street by 7-Eleven. I was like, there's no moose in Jersey. The legend of the Jersey moose. On the program I produced prior to joining CNR.
Yeah, Clay Travis used to claim on the air, and we argued with him so much, that he could beat a full-sized alligator by, like, wrapping his arms around the snout. Yeah, that he could, like, pin it to submission. But a four-foot alligator, I think you probably would have the best luck out of those three wild beasts. All right. Damn alligator bit my hand. Oh, my God. What say you, Shea?
Yeah, Clay and I got a lot in common. You know, we could definitely take on an alligator. It's easy. It's too easy. Animal Thunderdome. Ilo? Isaac Lonecron will not need Gatorade. Oh, there you go. Four foot Gatorade. Because it turns out that alligators, the muscles they use to open their jaws are unbelievably weak. The problem is when they close them, it's brute strength.
So as long as you don't have the alligators with its jaws open, you're fine. Alligator. You need a crowbar if they get a grip on you. I'm with you. I almost feel like I've seen many people, whether it be movies, TV shows, or something, I think I could wrestle an alligator. Now, a boar, I think a boar would F you up. And I think an elk is, what was the first one? Elk? That's just too damn big.
I think a four-foot gator, guys on golf courses grab it by its tail and throw it back in the water. That's a winner-winner chicken dinner right there. That's four points in the run. It's two rounds. Wait, hold on. You think you can beat a boar? I put a wild boar. I feel like you can house some boar's head. You know why?
Because I've actually come face-to-face with one in Arizona, and I remember thinking I was frightened, but I was thinking, yeah, I could probably kick this thing in the face. They just want the tots in your pocket. Yeah, so anyway, you win. It doesn't matter what I say. Congratulations. Big applause. You want to do? Let's do one more for fun. Do a bonus round here. Yeah. All right, go. Woo!
Let's end it with a relationship category. Those are the fun ones. I like that. You had a great one. You want the food one? We'll put some extra prizes. Do the food one then. Fine. If you think it's good, Sam, I'll take it. It's fantastic. Okay. What's worse? A waiter brings you overcooked food. A waiter brings you the wrong order and everyone at the table starts eating without you.
Or the waiter keeps passing your table and is very slow to take your order.
Okay.

Chapter 7: How does Danny G's rendition of Abba fit into the show?
Just to make sure of all the injuries? Or a new practice.
facility especially since no apparently the uh the electrical transformer power station thing had been officially debunked by like some uh some uh nuclear physicists there would be a whole episode on that meanwhile green bay packers receiver jayden reeds agreed to a three-year 50 million dollar extension fresh nba news just came down espn just reported that kevin durant will not play in game three tonight against the lakers due to a sprained left ankle it's over
Lakers lead the series two games to none. Meanwhile, San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama still officially listed as questionable for their game three tonight at Portland because of a concussion.
That series tied at one.
Also up first at the top of the hour, game three from Philadelphia between the Sixers and Boston Celtics. That series tied at one. Finally in tennis, Carlos Alcaraz announced today he will not play in next month's French Open because of a wrist injury.
That's notable because... It ends any chance of there being a Grand Slam winner in 2026 because Alcaraz had previously won the Australian Open. Alcaraz was also seeking a three-peat of the French Open.
Guys, back to you. Hey, by the way, that point spread moved four points. Because of the Durant thing. Remember I said it was like around double digits, nine and a half or 10. Now the Rockets are favored by six. So no, Kevin Durant gives the Vegas a quick, just like that, a four point swing. So we'll see tonight, Danny, you could go up three. Oh, huh? I have a four-point question.
Bronny James, four points? I feel four points for him tonight because he hasn't scored. I'll take the under. Me too. Four minutes, four points. Watch. That's my prediction. Listen, coming up, we will go over weekend hobnobbing, and Danny will give us a quick verse of Fernando. Come on. We'll sing some ABBA in honor of your new Raider. Don't overpromise. All next right here on Fox Sports Radio.

It was a wild year. I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
