Friday, but it feels like this is the day where you go to work in this business as a football fan. Last night the Buffalo Bills christened their new stadium, and they did so in an impressive fashion, roughing up the Lions 41 31. Now there's a couple of ways to look at this. You can look at the Buffalo Bills and say, Boy, that's an impressive offense. Or you might have questions about the Lions. I know the defense. Defense was banged up, or you might have questions about the Buffalo Bills defense. Can you outscore your opponent in route to a Super Bowl? Kansas City Chiefs recently were able to do that, but you start to look at putting up 41, which is great. What they did last week against the Texans, a game that they probably should have lost.
But they're also giving up thirty-one points last week to the Texans, thirty-one points to the Lions. Now you might look at the Lions late scores as garbage scores, but you're still looking at a team that's going to be in a shootout every single week. You got Josh Allen. By the way, Josh Allen doesn't do it on his own. We make it seem like it's one guy against eleven guys on defense. He's incredible. But you do have maybe the most underrated player in the NFL and James Cook. He had sixteen hundred yards last year. And if he walked in here in his uniform, people wouldn't recognize him. But he is a great running back.

Not good, he's great. But when you think about, he was in Georgia, kind of somewhere on the depth chart, you know, he was a rotational player. So Josh threw for three scores, he rushed for two more. And you start to look at this historically, because his odds right now, according to DraftKings for MVP, he's an overwhelming favorite right now. I think Caleb Wilson may be or Williams might be the second favorite according to DraftKings, but since nineteen forty eight, twenty players have had at least three touchdown passes and rushed for two in a game. Josh Allen has done it four times of the twenty times it's been done. Cordell Stewart, the only other player to have done it more than once. Wow.

Staying healthy, you're taking advantage of a Detroit defense that has not been good, has been banged up, and uh this is what you do.
