After a brief holiday break, the boys are back with a fresh episode of The DFO Rundown and while the league was dormant for most of the last week, there was still plenty to get to today on the pod.To kick things off, Jason and Frank talked about the Detroit Red Wings’ decision to make a coaching change. For the just the second time in franchise history, the team has made an in-season coaching change and the guys debated if the teams' struggles had anything to do with the coach or if there is a bigger problem with the way that the roster in constructed.That led to some talk about the Eastern Conference playoff picture and the play of the Ottawa Senators. The Senators front office nailed some big moves this summer, some of which weren’t viewed very positively at the time, while the moves that the Red Wings have made just haven’t worked out.Of course, the eight seed in the East is really only open because the New York Rangers continue to struggle.
