But three sex scandals. Absolutely insane sex scandals. This morning we discussed, this is Mark Robinson. He's a highly controversial far-right Republican nominee for governor in North Carolina.
He's a current lieutenant governor. Referred to himself as, quote, black Nazi. expressing support for reinstating slavery, confessing to multiple affairs, including with his sister-in-law on a pornographic website message board. Okay, I'm not making that up. I couldn't write that. If I wrote that, you'd say, Don, stop disparaging the GOP and come up with something that's realistic, okay? Then late yesterday, Oliver Darcy, my former colleague over at CNN who has his own site now, dropped a bombshell. His report details how RFK Jr., now on the Trump transition team, and he's also married, to none other than Cheryl Hines, who I really like, has been engaged in a months-long affair with Bain political reporter Olivia Nuzzi, who was engaged, was is the operative word, the engagement to Politico's Ryan Lizza, and that is now over, that engagement, because he put out a statement saying his ex-fiancee.
And then finally this morning, new court filings reveal that MAGA Congressman Matt Gaetz Yes, that Matt Gaetz attended a sex party with a 17-year-old girl. So what the hell is going on in the GOP? You know, they always say what's done in darkness will come to light. If all that wasn't enough, we also have a brand new alarming attempts by the GOP to undermine democracy in both Georgia and also Nebraska. We have so much to discuss, and I'm extremely grateful to have a fantastic panel. Antoine Seawright is here. Tara's had one heck of a week. And I will just say it's Friday. So here's a toast to Tiki. A cat of 18 years. And Tara lost Tiki. So, Tara, I'm sorry. We're all sorry.
We're thinking about it. Oh, Don, that's so sweet of you. Thank you. I did lose my beloved Tiki on Sunday. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge after being diagnosed with a cancerous tumor last month. And, yeah, it's been hard. I'm an only child and I don't have biological children. And so I'm one of those childless cat ladies that J.D. Vance talked about is trying to make our lives miserable. No, we're not miserable. We're motivated, as I say.
Well, also, can I tell them you had the cat before you had your hubby?
That's correct. I've had my cat. Yes. And actually, when we started dating, he had to pass the Tiki test. Because if he didn't like Tiki, if Tiki didn't like him, we would not be here today. So it's true. Tiki was with me through a lot of milestones in my life. And it feels very strange not to have him around every day. But You know, they're a blessing when they're here and he'll always be with me. And my mom gave me this locket where I have some of Tiki's little fur in there and keep it close to me right now. And it's it's strangely helping me through. It's comforting for me. So but thank you. The outpouring of support because Tiki was around a lot. And he would come on camera with me, went on my streaming shows and stuff.
