Welcome to the program, everyone. Support for The Don Lemon Show today comes from the Freedom From Religion Foundation. And look, you all know me. I take the Constitution very seriously. I grew up believing that freedom meant freedom for everybody, not just for folks who want to wrap their politics in the Bible and then call it patriotism. December 15th is Bill of Rights Day, and every year it reminds me why the First Amendment matters so much. Freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom from the government forcing religion on you. And right now, with Christian nationalism creeping into every corner of politics, those freedoms need defending. That's why I love what FFRF does. They've been out there since the 70s protecting the wall between church and state, taking on court cases, calling out politicians who cross the line, and reminding this country that democracy only works when everybody's rights are protected.

And they have got their season of reason going on right now from Black Friday through December 9th. You can get 20% off of FFRF merch, hoodies, mugs, all of it. And they're offering a two-for-one membership for new U.S. members. I actually love that idea. Join for yourself. Gift it to someone who believes in the same thing. Just go to FFRF.us slash shop or text my name, Don, D-O-N, to 511-511. Standard text fees may apply because our rights only survive if we defend them. Good morning, everyone. Good morning, Lemonheads. How are you? It is a Monday morning, almost Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving week. How are you doing? I'm glad that you're here this morning. We have a lot to talk about. When we went off the air on Friday, I feel like the whole world changed.
Don Lemon 2:09
And not necessarily in a good way, especially for MAGA. I think MAGA is crumbling. And for the president of the United States, also for Marjorie Taylor Greene. So it went off the air. Marjorie Taylor Greene resigned. And, I mean, to everybody's shock. I don't think I've gotten as many texts as I did. This is probably the most text I've gotten since election evening. since the end of the election or the night of the election. Marjorie Taylor Greene will resign after a fallout with Trump. You guys have seen that. I want you to hit the like, I want you to hit the thumbs up, if you will, because it does affect the algorithm. More people become aware of our conversation. And I realize that a lot of people are on vacation this week or they're chilling out and getting ready for Thanksgiving.
Don Lemon 2:51
So I want to be cognizant of that. I don't want to be too heavy because I've been telling you, I think this is all good for the country. It may be bad for Donald Trump. It may be bad for Marjorie Taylor Greene. I'm not exactly sure what she's doing. I'm not exactly sure of her strategy. Do you know? So let me know where you're streaming from. Welcome to the program. And let me know if you're ready to get into this. Because, you know, I... This morning I woke up thinking about how fast everything is unraveling right now. In just a matter of a few days, the same people who once claimed that they were unshakable marched behind Donald Trump like he was the second coming. And now they're peeling off. It's kind of like paint, right?
Don Lemon 3:34
In a cheap apartment, you know, and your landlord does the cheap thing so you can move in. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the woman who once treated Trump like both prophet and president, and now after one week of pressure, she is out with videos and a long post or long posts tearing into him to shreds. Now, is it amazing to watch? Yes. It's not quite disagreement at all. It's not a political distancing. This is full-on fury. Now, he was interviewed, and I think he says, I still like her. I just disagree with her. I don't know. I don't believe that. This is, I would call this screaming to the phone. He's calling him weak, calling his team corrupt, and accusing him of betraying the American people. So she posted online first that,
Don Lemon 4:33
that she was resigning. And so there's a long post of her, several pages long. And then she, you know, you see the, all of the texts and then she put out a 10 minute long video and I'm not going to play the entire 10 minutes, but here's a good chunk of it.
