Chapter 1: What happened during the recent ICE shooting in Minneapolis?
Welcome to the show, everyone. Support comes from Z Biotics. I have to be honest with you, after a night out with drinks, I don't bounce back the way that I used to. For a long time, it felt like a choice. You know, either you have a great night or you have a great next day. That changed when I found Z Biotics pre-alcohol.
Z Biotics is the first genetically engineered probiotic created by PhD scientists to help you feel better the day after drinking. And here's how it works. When you drink, alcohol turns into a toxic byproduct in your gut. I tell you that all the time. That buildup is not dehydration, is what causes rough mornings. Pre-alcohol produces an enzyme that helps break it down.
So you just drink it before your first drink of the night, you drink responsibly, and then you wake up feeling like yourself again. So I've used it on nights when I still had work the next day, and the difference was real, real. So here's what you do. You go to zbiotics.com slash lemon. You use the code lemon for 15% off. It is backed by 100% money back guarantee. zbiotics.com slash lemon.
Use the code lemon for 15% off. Good morning, everybody. Hello, Lemonheads. How are you this morning? So I have been trying to drink more water. So this is water. I know that tea and all that is supposed to be good, and I've been trying to lay off of the coffee because it makes me jittery and crazy. Anyway, so I'm drinking more water in my Donley. Good morning.
Let me know where you're streaming from. Wow, someone's from Hawaii. What is it like in Hawaii right now? Washington State is in the house this morning. I'm exhausted, Don. I know. I'm with you. California is here as well. Thank you for waking up. Puerto Rico is here. Look at all of the folks who are here from everywhere. Who's the furthest this morning?
I see LA, I see Ohio, I see the Twin Cities, a couple of Twin Cities. I see Quebec, Jacksonville, Oregon's here. Someone says Jerry, I know they mean Jersey. Belfast, Ireland, I think wins for now. Hawaii, pretty far. Sunny NYC, Oklahoma, Detroit. Crazy. All of you guys, since you're doing this San Jose and Virginia, did you hit the thumbs up yet? You know where that is?
It's right at the bottom of the screen. Let me look at my screen right here. It's right at the bottom of the screen and it's got a thumbs up right now. It says 762 thumb. Just hit that little thing and it gives a boo with the thumb, right? So make sure you hit that. By the way, the lighting looks pretty good this morning. There's Boomer right behind me.
And the boys coming back from their morning walk. There they are. Say hi to the boys and everybody. Thank you for joining us this morning, Long Beach, California. Someone's here from the Netherlands, Dominican Republic. Wow. Sierra Leone. Winner, winner, winner. DMV. Yes. Okay. So... Where do I begin? Oh, let me tell you this before we get started, because it is complicated.
And I want you guys to go in, you got to go into a couple of different categories. And this is the only way that I know to do it. We're going to put it at the top of the website. I'm not sure if it's up yet on the top of the website, but the NAACP award is important to us. So we're going to post the link at the top of the chat. It's going to be pinned there.

Chapter 2: How does the public perceive ICE's actions after the shooting?
They are outside trying to enter the house. Please, we need help. Yes, they are outside trying to enter the house.
Can you pause it, please, Andy, for a second? If you guys are in there, Spanish people, the fluent folks, if you guys have been listening, can you tell us, just translate and give us an idea for the folks in the chat what they're saying?
I have a rough outline that I'm going to read, but just as we continue on here, let us know if there's someone who can translate, but I'll give you some of what I think they're saying. I'm not that fluent in Spanish. I have a couple of years of college, but not that fluent.
But anyways, keep going. Yes, it's mine. He says they shot a door. Son, come here. Son, come here. Son, come here. Son, come here.
OK, so put up what they're saying. I'm fluent in Spanish. What they are saying is that Ice was following the husband home. And when he got home, they shot him when they closed the door and shot him in the leg. That's what they're saying. That's what they shot him because he went into his house and they were chasing him for a half an hour.
So the translation that I have says person on the call says, where did they shoot you? They said in the leg, the leg. One more puts you can put up some of the video, Andy. One male, likely the father, please help. We have kids. And the woman says, we have children in the house. And then there's another woman says, we're not sure if they if they'll shoot again. Who shot you?
The person is asking the phone ice. They repeat again ice. And the woman says they shot at my husband while chasing him around 30 minutes ago and they tried to ram him. They chased him into the house and shot into the home. And then another woman there says, the other woman says, I'm scared if they shoot through the window. Woman says, probably said they don't worry.
Probably they said, don't worry. It's hard to understand. And then the person I think on the phone says, where are the agents? And they say they are here outside our home. They shot him. We need help. Please help. In the background, someone is saying they're outside your home, the person is saying.

Chapter 3: What are the implications of the federal officer's actions during the traffic stop?
The woman says, yes, they are outside. They are trying to get in. The woman says, looking out the window. The woman says, they are doing something to a car outside. Is that your car? The man says, yes, that's mine. Where did they shoot you again? In the leg, through the door. Let me know if that sounds accurate. But again, that is... The translation you have sounds right, Don.
Thank you, Jen Griffin, my lemon legend, 3045. Jen Griffin, 3045, my lemon legend, yes. So someone says this is a new Klan. Yeah, it's a new Klan. This is the new Donald Trump secret police. And so after all that happened, this is why I'm telling you, I believe this family more than I believe the Trump folks. I don't believe this. I don't believe the Trump folks.
I don't believe the Trump folks at all. Because they have no credibility. They've lost all credibility. Kristi Noem, you know what happened after Renee Nicole Goode was killed. She came out, called her a terrorist, gave false information. They're all giving false information.
Look, even the officer where they came out yesterday saying that he had all these injuries that we could not see, an internal whatever. It's like, what happened to Donald Trump and this whole thing with him and what's her name? Caroline Levy. Oh, HIPAA, you know, the privacy matter, whatever. Okay. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. You can prove it. Prove it to me.
Where's the body cam footage? Where are the records? Show it to us. Show us. Why are these people wearing body cams and why are they masked? This is Donald Trump's post on whatever lie social.
That he posted, if the corrupt politicians in Minnesota don't obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the patriots of ICE who are only trying to do their job, I will institute the Insurrection Act. This is what he wants to do. This is what he wants to do, especially for the midterm elections. He wants people scared.
He wants to be able to keep them away from the polls because he knows he's going to lose. And if he loses, he might end up in prison. And a lot of them might, and the lot of them might end up in prison. because what they're doing is unconstitutional and illegal, who are only trying to do their job.
I will institute the Insurrection Act, which many presidents have done before me, and quickly put an end to the travesty that is taking place in that once great state. Thank you for your attention to this matter, President DJT. Now, I want you to think about this. California yesterday is where the young man was blinded permanently, according to the reports, okay?
Kamala Harris was a senator from that state, ran for president against Donald Trump. Minnesota is where this chaos is happening now. And guess who is there? Tim Walz is the governor who ran against Donald Trump in 2024. You don't have to be a genius to figure out what's going on. Don't forget that Gavin Newsom of it all as well. in California.

Chapter 4: Why are protests escalating in response to ICE's presence?
in the security of the United States. And then when all of a sudden you're attacking one of your allies, it's insane. You basically ruin any kind of credibility that your country has. So they understand how important it is. what we need is for them to act like Republicans. Right now, the Republicans in Congress are acting like Trumpistas.
They do whatever Trump wants when he wants it and say, yes, sir, may I have another after they do it. So we need them to act like Republicans, not Trumpistas that are beholden to dear leader. They need to fight for their own communities, their own interests. But right now, everything they do is capitulate to Donald Trump.
Yeah. Representative, I'm being told your team is like, he's got to go. He's got work to do. He's got bills to do and all that stuff, folks. Thank you. We appreciate you taking the time. And thank you for your words and for making our audience of Lemonheads here, Lemon Nation, smarter. Thank you, okay? All right. Thank you. I'll come back anytime. Happy New Year to you. Thank you. Happy New Year.
Representative Jimmy Gomez from California's 34th congressional district. He served that district since 2017. So here's the thing, guys. You know, he said this is what Donald Trump can do with the National Guard. I want to check that out, but that he can federalize him and whatever. I don't know. Sometimes you got to run a risk.
Sometimes you gotta, I don't believe these folks have to follow unlawful orders. I'm just saying. In the meantime, this is what Governor, excuse me, what Mayor Fry is saying about the people in Minnesota.
We have about 600 officers. There's about 3,000 ICE agents in border control. We need our officers responding to the basic day-to-day 911 calls. We don't have the capacity to both deal with that and All of this conduct that we're seeing from ice on the daily basis. You know earlier today and yesterday I was out on a couple of major commercial corridors in our city. People are scared.
You know there's there's basic rights that you should have to be able to live safely in your neighborhood to be able to go downstairs and head to the cafe or the flower shop. The people that would normally keep up these shops, American citizens, by the way, many of them are terrified because American citizens are getting picked up off the street by people in masks.
That's not the way things should be conducted in any city in America. That's not who we are. That's not America. So I'm calling for peace. Everybody has a role in achieving that peace. And we're going to try to do everything that we can to keep it.

Chapter 5: What are the calls for action from local leaders regarding ICE?
Everything to keep the peace. Except the only people who are not doing everything to keep the peace are the people who are terrorizing Minnesota. And that would be ICE and federal agents. Governor Walz also spoke.
Tonight I want to share another way you can help. Witness. Help us establish a record of exactly what's happening in our communities. You have an absolute right to peacefully film ICE agents as they conduct these activities. So carry your phone with you at all times. And if you see these ICE agents in your neighborhood, take out that phone and hit record.
help us create a database of the atrocities against Minnesotans, not just to establish a record for posterity, but to bank evidence for future prosecution.
Bank evidence for future prosecution. I agree with him on that, but I think that there are more drastic things that need to be taken. Drastic measures. Drastic times calls for drastic measure. Call for drastic measures. And that's what I believe. The folks are also speaking out in Minnesota. And this is, I think this person is from Minnesota. And he's, this guy is ranting about ICE.
Normal, political, non-political person. Here it is.
This is nuts. This is fucking, yeah, and you're right in the middle of this shit. What the fuck is going on, dude? This is insane. Have you ever gone out to these sort of things before? Never, never. I've never protested in my life. My brother, my brother's here. He does it all the time. I've never. I got, dude, like I said, I'm far enough away, but close enough.
And I sit in my cushy house and look at shit and get mad. And I, yeah. They're just trying to fucking scare people. And, you know, but, but. But why shoot people? No, you know what really pisses me off is the fact that they detain people, cuff them, and then still beat the shit out of them. They tell you it's immigrants, only immigrants. It's fucking anybody.
I have friends that got detained, and all they were doing was fucking driving home from work. What the fuck? Sounds like you don't fit the definition of the... No, and I'm not fucking paid to be here like everybody fucking says. What the fuck is that? I got to work in the goddamn morning just like everybody else. I'm just here trying to stand up for community, dude. We're all human beings here.
I don't give a shit who you are, where you came from, what color you are. It doesn't fucking matter. This is wrong.
