So we'll get right into it. I want to tell you, we have a lot to cover. We're talking about the storm that's bearing down, really the hurricane that's bearing down on Florida. Sorry about the technical difficulties that happen sometimes. But it is now, I believe it's still a Category 5. The system is on the brink of requalifying, I should say, as a Category 5, just hours away from making landfall in Florida. And Mike Miloranzi is Miloranzi, and you said to call you Migs, right?

He's joining us now from Florida. What are you seeing there, Mike?
Well, it still is on the West Coast. It's still off of the coast. So we're getting a lot of heavy rain here. We've had an inch of rain this morning and this afternoon, but we also have had about five inches of rain the last three days. The problem right now is there's a lot of tornadoes just south of us.
Yeah. And so what does that mean? A lot of tornadoes south of you.
Well, this storm, the meteorologist on TV just said he's the most he's seen in 28 years of covering tornadoes in Florida. You can get tornadoes in the right front quadrant, in the right side of the storm. And this is such a powerful storm that it's spinning up a lot of tornadoes. So I'm keeping my phone on my radar and my messages just in case one came at us. But they're more inland right now and they've been south. of the central Florida right now. But people got to be very careful right now.
Are these warnings that we're talking about?
These are warnings. We've had multiple tornadoes already. They said there's been some damage. I haven't seen it on TV yet, but they said there have been very interesting storm. Now the storm is down to 120. So it's a cat three right now is what they're saying.
We're going to show some video, and we have live cameras, and we'll talk over them. But let's see what we have. If we have this one, wow, this is Tampa, Florida, and you can see the rain is coming in there. Mike, explain to us what's going on there. Is that just whiteout rain conditions there?
Very, very heavy rain on certain parts. The storm is getting much closer to the coast. I think it's down by Sarasota right now, but you're going to get the wraparound. The winds are whipping around and you're going to get the heavy, heavy rain. I think thankfully for Tampa, I think the storm is probably going to stay south. I'm not you know, I'm not the expert on it. I don't have the meteorological charts in front of me, but it looks like it's going to go a little south to Tampa. They will get the left side of the storm, which is not as damaging as the right side. But they're still going to have a lot of damage down there.
You're in the zone. Am I correct?
Well, we're going to be just we unfortunately, they still don't know where it's going. We could be could be on top of us, could be a little farther south down in Melbourne. We should be getting winds about 80 to 100 miles an hour after midnight. But what I'm concerned about is the rain. There is so much rain with this storm and people are starting to flood now. And this is very similar to Ian that happened two years ago. And in our local area here, we had over 20 inches of rain and thousands of homes were flooded. And this could be worse.
Did you have any contact with your neighbors? Are you are you speaking to them? Did they stay? Did they leave?
We all stayed here. The school that I teach at is a shelter. And I just tried to contact them a few minutes ago and they were still checking people in the Wednesday. probably are 20, 30 miles an hour right now, but it's raining so heavy.
