Wait, wait, this will work. You're facing a opponent right now in Iran that has refused to submit. You seem optimistic now that you may be closer to a deal. What's different about this moment now than in other moments where a deal has seemed close? Well, why do you say they refuse to submit? You don't know that. You don't know what's going on. They were firing on U.S. ships a few days ago. Yeah, I know. A few days ago. It's a long time ago. You know, in the world of war, a few days ago. No, they want to make a deal badly. And we'll see if we get there.

And his response was telling. He said, you know, the war's going to end on America's terms. And that is what the Trump administration has been saying ever since. And the question that was asked today is very appropriate because you're hearing this language coming from the president, from the Pentagon, And at the same time, Iran publicly is quite defiant, you know, and even internally, a message inside Iran that was reported by Reuters, you know, the Iranians were, they were bracing them for more hardship ahead.
And so, you know, the signs in Washington are very positive. The markets are rallying. But if you look at the kind of the mood in Iran, it's still pretty tense. Phil, I was looking for, and I know it's out there, a mashup of every time Donald Trump said that there was a deal or that they wanted a deal, basically using the exact same language. He's been saying that for more than a month now. And so, honestly, I think the American people are confused, and I don't believe that they are convinced that this is actually true. What I'm asking is, you know, is it real? How do we know if it's real? One more time. Here's Donald Trump. are left. Their missiles are mostly decimated. They have some, they have probably 18, 19 percent, but not a lot by comparison to what they had.
And their leaders are all dead.
So I think we won.
Now it's only a question of, look, if we left right now Iran, it would take them 20 years to rebuild. You would call that, we're in good shape, right? We're in good shape. And now we're doing well. Now we have to get what we have to get. If we don't do that, we'll have to go a big step further. But with that being said, they want to make a deal. We've had very good talks over the last 24 hours. And it's very possible that we'll make a deal. Yeah, please. Very possible. Now, I wasn't born yesterday, but. But I still went. I may have been born yesterday, but I still went shopping. I know when someone is bullshitting me and you can't bullshit a bullshitter. And so I don't know. Donald Trump keeps saying that he's talking to the right people, all of the things.
