We have a tremendous amount of news to discuss tonight, from the continued fallout from Senator Alex Padilla's assault to Governor Gavin Newsom's reestablishing control of the California National Guard to then losing control again to Donald Trump.
But we're going to begin with the breaking news, right? We need to begin with the breaking news, and that is Donald Trump's weakness on the international stage has brought about really what many, had long feared an all out war in the Middle East, perhaps a soon to be global war because of the ineffectiveness of the Trump administration and their negotiations with Iran and also with Israel as well. And Benjamin Netanyahu. In the early hours of Friday the 13th, by the way, Israeli military forces carried out an unprecedented, utterly stunning attack against Iran. For years, Israel has fought Iran's proxy forces across the Middle East. And more recently, it has exchanged small volleys of strikes with Iran.
Yet these attacks today were the first time it hit Tehran's nuclear facilities, including Iran's main nuclear enrichment facility in Natanz. So which which an Israeli military spokesman said had suffered, quote, significant damage. OK, so those are some of the details. There are warplanes, all kinds of warplanes are anticipated overnight on the attack, dropping thousands of bombs across the country and striking over 100.
