You will need contraception up until 55 depending on when your menopause was and then afterwards as a barrier against STDs. Some of that contraception can be used as part of HRT, such as the mirena coil. Even if you are going or have gone through an early menopause, you may still need contraception. If you have the right menopause treatment and your libido improves, that's great! But we need to make sure we stay safe.
