It is not a route like some people were expecting. It's quite, quite close, about one and a half points, with I think ninety-six, ninety-seven reporting. So like it's pretty much a done deal at this point. Um, so this is also the most expensive Democratic primary for Senate in US history.
Uh, with actually Haley Stevens, I think, vastly outspending Al Sayyed. Yeah. Uh like I I think she had sixty million dollars of outside money. Seventy was the last number I saw as of this morning. Seventy was the last number I saw as of this morning. Well, guys, so how let's break it down.
What did we learn last night? I mean, I'll tell you what I learned that I think will piss a lot of people off. Go for it. Well, that's the best way to start. I don't think this is a good sign for progressives performing well in swing states. Like this is really re like really bad. You know, like ultimately El Sayyid or Sayyed is a well-spoken, thoughtful Good candidate. But very progressive, lands in a place that a lot of progressive people wanted to land, and he barely won against a terrible opponent. That in a s in a swing state. That is not a good sign. Like he and he also dramatically underperformed the polling. So I don't see like clearly it doesn't take much for people to look at this. I Democrats, centrist, and go, I don't care who the opponent uh who his opponent is.
I don't like what he's pitching. So I don't want it. And that was a the like Stevens didn't get forty seven percent. Her ideology did. She's a bad candidate. Fucking brain dead to me. Right. It's

talks about how they dream of Israel and you know Global health y you know, Medicare for all, fuck that. Why bother with that? Yeah. We look at those two things, shit sandwich or health care, and you're like, I know which one I want.

And then you pick giving money and bombs to some other country somewhere else, regardless of the motive and the cause allegedly and all of that. Um And Fetterman was just like, listen, when it comes down to it, I have to support Israel. It's like, okay, so you you just got smoked by that question and you had to go back to the like I stand with Israel. Like just he went to a stump speech facing Jon Stewart, which like don't fucking do that.

I do think it's worth mentioning uh that part of the problem in my opinion with Abdul Isad was his name. Not a problem to me. Of course. They used his whole name.

I I really think a lot of it is just like a lot of Democrats just don't like progressive ideology. They just don't aren't into it. Like I I think that's a huge this is a wake up call for people and like look, it's a state of the last two out of the last three elections, the state voted for Trump two of those times.
