Chapter 1: What are the allegations about Joe Biden's health?
Hello, everyone. I'm Dana Perino, along with Katie Pavlich, Marie Harf, Jesse Waters and Greg Gutfeld. It's five o'clock in New York City, and this is The Five. The Democrats who really want Joe Biden to go away, well, they might want to buckle up because we're getting another brutal bombshell about the cover-up of former President Biden's mental decline.
Privately, advisers debated whether a wheelchair would be required to get him through a second term. The president's doctor privately said that if he had another bad fall, a wheelchair might be necessary, and quipped that Biden's staff members were trying to kill him while he was trying to keep him alive.
These revelations shouldn't come as a shock if you were watching The Five during the Biden presidency. And now one of the book's co-authors is using the L word to describe the White House.
Alex Thompson and I were on the case, as were lots of other reporters, trying to figure out what was going on behind the scenes. But there's their own cabinet.
There are critics, however, that are pointing this out. The Tapper's record on the subject isn't exactly squeaky clean.
How do you think it makes little kids with stutters feel when they see you make a comment like that?
It's very clearly a cognitive decline. That's what I'm referring to. It makes me uncomfortable to watch the man on stage search for questions.
It's so amazing to me that the Washington Post just put out a piece examining how President Biden embraces his stutter, talking about it, while Trump mocks it, exaggerates it, belittles it. He's sharp physically. I mean, mentally. I think the question is physically, right? Yeah. He's 81 and his memory, you know, it doesn't seem great. It's not horrible.
But that's not all, folks. Joe Biden apparently did not recognize George Clooney at their fundraiser and had to be told who he was by an aide. Now, that is an outrage, isn't it? Which apparently left the superstar shaken to his core. And that was the part that I thought was pretty funny. Like, imagine you're George Clooney, Jesse. And somebody doesn't recognize you.

Chapter 2: How are the media and political figures responding to Biden's situation?

This is President Trump's corruption tour of the Middle East. He is going to the Gulf in order to collect tribute. What's happening here is an extraordinary level of corruption. We shouldn't pretend this is business as usual. Trump is not asking for any benefit to the American people. He's not asking for any movement towards peace in the region. He's asking for cash.
So, Dana, what's wrong with securing investment deals from our partners in the Middle East?
Well, what's interesting is that for Chris Murphy, it's like for the last four years, you were championing the Inflation Reduction Act. And what did that do? It drove up inflation and it had all these green new scams in it in which you could give to all of your donors, many of whom now have gone bankrupt. So I don't like the idea of the plane.
But we're not talking about that right now because I don't think that's necessarily happening. What's interesting on this is that when President Trump signed the economic agreement this morning, he signs the economic agreement. Then Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth signs the defense agreement.
A lot of the economic agreement and the defense agreement are intertwined because Saudi wants protection. And so if you're going to get the protection, you need to have the weaponry and the weaponry is made by us. And so that is a good thing. And it's been a pretty good week for the president's economic agenda. Aside from that, the inflation number was good today. One of the big banks, J.P.
Morgan, really scaled back its projection for a recession after that China deal got announced for 90 days. And House Republicans are actually really moving forward on the big, beautiful bill that could get done. So I would say it's a pretty good week, and it's only Tuesday.

Chapter 3: What are the implications of Biden not recognizing George Clooney?
So, Marie, why is it that Democrats again are nullifying another election? Just one after the other, the party of democracy.
I agree with him on everything he just said. What I do know is that the DNC isn't winning us elections. Right. Like this rule change in this vote about whether he should be the vice chair. I don't really care about that. I wish the DNC was more effective. We win elections with good candidates on the ground who match their districts and their states.
I like the idea of making members fight for their seats. Some of the best members of Congress we've had, and I know you will probably disagree with me, people like AOC won their seats in contested primaries. And if the Democratic Party is going to win in the midterms, which I think we can and we should and we will. It will be with good candidates who aren't sleepwalking through elections.
And if we're talking about Joe Biden today, we're talking about the fact that too many Democrats are just complacent with the senior leaders at the top and there's not enough youthful energy. I don't know if David Hogg's doing it the right way. I don't know if he's the standard bearer, but I know we need to do it. And this DNC fight, to the extent that anyone cares at all, is just a distraction.
Dana, David Hogg gets in, but he is breaking the rules. The DNC has rules about not getting involved in primaries.
I think parties should have discipline. And I think that, you know, if you're going to break the rules, just like fully break them. But the Democrats are cracking me up. David Hogg, it's been the perfect dance of the situation that they're in. First of all, they said, we need youth. Then like, wait, that's too much youth.
Then the youth are killing off our olds and our moderates and like throw out the youth. And then the voting procedure thing is just a fig leaf, basically for the lack of their discipline. Instead of just saying that was a mistake. You're a lunatic. You're out of here. You're going to cost us seats and let them go. Besides David Hogg.
Remember what, if you look back at his FEC reports, he makes a ton of money for his PAC. He made like $10 million. He spent $275,000 on Uber Eats, and he donated it to campaigns.
Well, he didn't spend it on getting a lady, Craig, as you said.

Chapter 4: Is there a media bias in covering political figures?
That is what you would do if you smelled.
You can't smell underwater. It's scientifically proven. Hair news. Let's see it. Yeah. Philly star Bryce Harper shaved his head. Now, when you're in a slump, you shave your head and you get out of the slump immediately. Women do it all the time when they're having like a bad stretch. They just do like a radical haircut. And you know, you know, something's wrong.
Jessica Tarloff has actually shaved her head and she hasn't been having a good couple shows. Obviously, with the Biden tell-alls, it's been rough. You'll see her next week and she's going to look like Bryce. Tonight, Jesse Waters' primetime, Kristi Noem, Kevin McCarthy, and Lara Trump. 8 o'clock.

We hope not. We hope there are bathrooms, too. So an unknowing woman shared a very touching moment with recently drafted Jacksonville Jaguars star player Travis Hunter on a flight from Denver. Sandy Hawkins said she was seated next to the nicest young man who was extremely polite. He helped her with her bags.
It was only when the other travelers kept stopping to ask for photos that she realized she was sitting next to a professional athlete. What a lovely guy coming back from his college graduation. That happens to Greg all the time.
