Chapter 1: What is the current state of the Scottish football title race?

0.031 - 25.119 Paul Cooney

The flame-grilled Whopper from Burger King. The most food-filling burger... Is it, though? Is that... Yes. A slightly better version of you. I don't understand. Just like the new Whopper, that's juicier and tastier than ever before. Same, same, but it's different. That's my line now. Oh, sorry. Whopper never tasted so good.

Europa League is just 24 hours away. Rangers are on their way to Porto for the match tomorrow night. They're last in the competition this year. Utrecht delayed this morning at Rotterdam Airport because of fog and a technical issue, but they will be here ahead of the big match tomorrow night against Celtic, when Celtic, a win means they stay in the tournament.

69.737 - 74.082 Andy Walker

Andy Walker's with me, Paul Cooney, and back for the first time in two months.

Chapter 3: What are the latest transfer rumors surrounding Rangers and Celtic?

74.062 - 79.932 Andy Walker

The man from down under, Craig Moore, is back. Craig, happy birthday, happy Christmas, happy New Year.

0

80.192 - 89.188 Unknown

Yeah, no, I've been away for a little bit, Paul, but done a bit of travel, seen a few countries, but delighted to be back, and it's all changed here in the studio as well. It sure is.

0

89.208 - 100.81 Andy Walker

It's looking nice. Yeah, we're on the Go Radio football show, the new studio. It's normally Hunter and Hockey, but... They've given it to us as well. So we're on YouTube as well as on the radio. Andy's getting used to it.

Chapter 4: What challenges do Celtic face in their European campaign?

100.931 - 124.163 Andy Walker

Andy, Craig, he had a big birthday while he was away. He left in his 40s. You're now, you come back 60. I look 60, aren't I, Paul? Looking good. Listen, when you left, Rangers were... around 12, 13 points behind Hearts, and they were in third spot. Your old team now, second top of the table, just four behind the league leaders, Hearts. Wilfred Nancy's come and gone at Celtic.

0

124.404 - 127.311 Andy Walker

You missed it all, but obviously you followed it from over there.

0

Chapter 5: What insights did Martin O'Neill share about squad depth and recruitment?

0

128.348 - 129.089 Andy Walker

What do you make of it all?

0

129.93 - 147.535 Unknown

Well, just quickly on the Nancy one, I did miss that. I was away for that complete spell. I think there's a lot of Celtic supporters wish that they missed that as well. That time it wasn't a successful one. But, yeah, obviously Rangers were certainly not in the position, Paul, that they're in now. Danny Rill has the team playing with confidence.

0

147.555 - 158.17 Unknown

I wouldn't say playing with style, but he certainly has the team playing with confidence and that's eight wins on the bounce now, five clean sheets in the last five matches. So a lot of positives there.

Chapter 6: How are fans reacting to Scotland's World Cup squad options?

158.909 - 167.761 Unknown

I still genuinely believe, though, it's a three-horse race for the title. I think it's still too close and too tight to call out any particular team at this moment.

0

167.841 - 169.403 Andy Walker

But, you know, I will ask you, who's going to win it?

0

170.485 - 185.305 Unknown

Again, I... I can give you till the end of the window. That's what we've been doing to everyone. Listen, Paul, I said last year. I wasn't one of these ones that was writing hearts off. I felt as if they were going to be there for the duration.

0

185.656 - 195.687 Unknown

If they needed to show anybody anything else again at the weekend to twice go behind against Celtic to come back and get a draw and be disappointed not to win the match, they're right in the thick of it.

0

195.707 - 196.888 Andy Walker

You could see them as champions.

Chapter 7: What are the implications of dementia findings on player welfare?

197.188 - 211.984 Andy Walker

Celtic have gone third position, Rangers in second. Andy, the big talking point has been that moment when VAR took over the game, really, at Tyne Castle. Whether you think it was a yellow or a red or whatever, why did it go to VAR and then it was overturned?

0

212.69 - 235.557 Unknown

Listen, I've got no problem with it being a red, but not through VAR. If the on-field referee thinks it's a red card, all well and good. I've been to those meetings in Scotland and in England where you're told and you're shown and you're guided through what VAR is for. And it was always for a clear and obvious error. Oh, you've made a terrible mistake here, Paul.

0

235.577 - 245.231 Unknown

You come over and change your decision. I think the red card has got as many talking points as the yellow has.

0

Chapter 8: What teams are performing well in the Scottish leagues this season?

245.251 - 264.044 Unknown

So I think on that occasion, you just stay with the on-field decision. And had Steve McLean given a red, you would just think, OK, it's a controversial decision, but you can almost understand it. But... You don't change decisions like that. I don't think that's what VAR is for.

0

264.164 - 270.76 Andy Walker

And Celtic's appeal was thrown out. Still not happy about it, but there was no surprise, really, Craig. They weren't going to reverse the decision again.

0

270.8 - 288.669 Unknown

No, no, but I'm the same as Andy. When I watched it, I thought it was a red card. Did you? Yeah, when I've seen that. Obviously then you can slow it down and the like. But the referee gave a yellow card. For me then it's not an obvious error. So why it gets changed to a red card is a strange one to me.

0

289.149 - 312.061 Unknown

The question I asked myself, was it Dane Murray that I think was the defender that people felt could get across to maybe block the hearts player getting the shot off on goal? I don't believe – he would have been able to get across to get himself between ball and goal. Can you prove it? Well, a mathematician would be able to. Yeah, but I'm not a mathematician in terms of distances.

0

312.381 - 318.711 Andy Walker

Give us a call. You know the number. 0808. Right, off to Strathclyde University. First call. Yeah, right. You know my point. It's subjective.

319.251 - 330.548 Unknown

Yeah, yeah, it is. Again, my opinion is that the defender would not be able to get across to put himself between ball and goal, which means the striker gets a shot at goal. Maybe from a not as good an angle.

332.198 - 348.593 Unknown

I mean, had it been reversed, had John Beaton been the referee and given a red card, I don't think there's any way that Steve McLean on VAR would say, oh no, you've made a terrible mess, it's a yellow. It's a controversial decision and I think you have to give the referee his authority.

348.794 - 353.918 Andy Walker

It could have gone either way. Martin O'Neill was asked about it today at his media conference ahead of the game tomorrow.

354.339 - 365.735 Unknown

It's never been a problem before, has it really? I've never had a problem with it in my first spell away here. 25 years ago, never had a problem at all. I just expected no decisions to come our way.
