You're a detective sergeant. You're assigned a robbery detail. Two convicts escape from the state penitentiary. They're heading for your city. They're armed. They've boasted they won't be taken alive. Your job? Get them.

It was Wednesday, October 6th. It was cloudy in Los Angeles. We were working the day watch out of robbery detail. My partner's Ed Jacobs. The boss is Captain Didion. My name's Friday.
