We are here to answer your fantasy football questions today for the next hour. But I got to ask you, how is the Houston summer treating you here, Tara? We haven't talked in a little bit and it has been hot and muggy here in H-Town.
It has. Luckily for me, I'm not having to go outside. I'm avoiding it as much as humanly possible. Would like a little bit of rain. But other than that, I just can't go outside. I can't even sit on my porch. Like, what is this?
Yeah, it is not fun. It is the dog days of the heat right now, and it is the dog days of summer here, and all of our waiting to get any information here. What has stood out to you through the early days in camp? We're getting guys put on NFIs, on the pup, things of that nature. What has stood out to you so far?
You know, the thing that stood out to me today is where, as I noticed, we started to get those Carolina hype videos going that Jonathan Brooks news in terms of, hey, you know, he's looking good in training camp and whatnot. He's actually in training camp. That's the fantastic news, because as you know, as unappealing as as Carolina can be, like from a greater perspective, the run game really does matter there in terms of what that outlook is going to be because they want to be run heavy. We have a good discount on both Chuba Hubbard and Jonathan Brooks.
What early training camp standouts and headlines should fantasy managers know about?
So someone is going to be good value for us there. So that's what I'm looking forward to here is seeing how long Jonathan Brooks can stay healthy, what kind of role he's going to have, because it sounds like they want to get him involved right off the bat from a receiving perspective at the very least. So I'm excited to see how this plays out.
Yeah, I mean, Jonathan Brooks has been a point of contention a little bit with myself and Fitzy, and I'm the Texas guy, and I've just not been as in on Jonathan Brooks as everybody else. And I think it's probably because I start from the Dynasty perspective in my stuff, right? Like... Is Jonathan Brooks going to be a long-term option for the Panthers? I understand that Chuba Hubbard is not exciting this season. He's a guy that has carried the workload, and I think he was hurt very early last year and kind of drug that with him throughout the rest of the season. And, you know, in the offseason from 24 to 25, they extended him. They made him a team captain. So they obviously like him. So I feel like they're going to give him every opportunity first, but...
as Tony Romo taught us a long time ago, the NFL is a meritocracy. And if you can't make it work, it doesn't matter how popular you are and how great of a team leader you are. If you're that great of a team leader, then go into coaching if you can't play. So it is going to be the cream that rises to the top, and that might be Jonathan Brooks here. I was interested to read that Isaiah Davis might have the inside track on the number two job with the Jets. Now, Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah, I tried in general, I try to assess how reliable the team as a whole has been. Like if I look at like, let's look at a team like Jacksonville, right?
