Is there an epidemic against literature? More specifically, Black literature. I'm Jacquees Peace Thomas, and on this season of the Black Lit Podcast, we're outside asking why. They don't want a whole bunch of little Ella Bakers, Malcolm Xs, and Martin Luther Kings running around. And when you look at a lot of different cultures, they're like, you need to know where you came from. And considering this is Black Reading Month, the only real question is, what are you reading next? Listen to Black Lit from the Black Effect Podcast Network on our iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

The Volume. Alright
guys, welcome to a brand new episode here at the Daniel Cormier Show brought to you by Total Wireless, the official mobile service provider of UFC. Real UFC fans need unlimited 5G data that won't tap out. Real UFC fans need real unlimited. So, last week... Gable Steveson lost his fight, and he got knocked out in 12 seconds. Obviously, you guys know that Gable Steveson is the Olympic champion, highly talented prospect, everything from wrestling. I wanted to wait a few days to kind of gather a whole picture of how, one, people reacted to the loss, two, how Gable reacted to the loss. After the fight, I said, Gable, When you lose, you take your lick, you let that man get your hand raised, you go about your business.
I did continue to say because you're going to win much more than you're going to lose. I said that. You got to just deal with it because there are going to be many more times where Gable wins and he gets his hand raised and that guy is going to have to stand there and take it. I thought he should have stayed there. A couple days after, I see a video of me in 2017 after Jon Jones knocked me out. And it was me pulling away from John McCarthy and trying to leave the octagon. I had no recollection of that. I've never watched that. In nine years, I've watched the fight. I've watched him knocking me out. I've watched him pretty much finish the fight, then I turn it off. It is a wound that is very difficult to watch.
I never saw me behave that way in the octagon. But I will say this. I will say this. That is the behavior that I imagine I would have displayed. The reason I didn't think that I was in that same situation because I did the interview where I was crying in the octagon after the fight was over. So I was like, well, I couldn't have left.
