What is Colin’s opening Herd Hierarchy and why are the Lions in the top‑5?

Elizabeth Smart 0:00
This is an IHR podcast. Guaranteed human. I survived nine months in captivity, and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. I'm Elizabeth Smart, and these are the Survivor Files. Every week, I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable, abducted, stalked, controlled, and nearly silenced. These are stories about what it takes to make it out alive. Listen to the Survivor Files with Elizabeth Smart on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman. I can wait four hours for the next bus, or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I chose option B. I'm Julie Pinheiro and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word solita, trading the pity for possibility. Listen to Solita on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

If your bookshelf and your for you page are equally important to your personality, welcome home. Pro Society is a weekly podcast that's part book club, part group chat for anyone who thinks Pride and Prejudice and Love Island deserve the same level of discourse. Each week we're connecting the dots between books, the internet, and pop culture with your favorite writers, book talk creators, and plenty of overthought opinions. Yeah, I'm obsessed, so obsessed. Listen to Pro Society on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Hey, it's Alec Baldwin. This season on my podcast, here's the thing. I talk to actor Steven Root.

I'm a people watcher. You see that guy going down the ring, though. Yeah, I can use that.

And Open Igloo co-founder Aliah Mohammed.

I love staying on top of what is going on in our city, what is on renters' minds, and taking all of that knowledge to build a platform that hopefully is going to make New York City better in the long run.

Um it is good to be back. Took a little bit of a long vacay, but it's okay. August is uh pretty lifeless at the end of it. I'm good by the way guys, I can hear now. Um I think this is so I'm doing my herd hierarchy. Tomorrow and I gotta go to the last day. Today is my final herd hierarchy. Like we're going into the season a little bit blind. I'm going off a little last year. How did you draft? Do I like your new coaches? How did you play at the end of the year? Did you have a big free agent signing? I will say there are teams that I think are good and that I have in the playoffs. But don't make my top 10 because 14 teams make the playoffs. So let's go. Here's my herd hierarchy. We'll start at number 10 on the eve of the NFL season.
Colin Cowherd 3:44
Number 10 is one of the most improved teams and a team that I thought made real moves, the Cincinnati Bengals. Okay, they've made, they've won the division the two times they've given Joe Burrow a top 20 defense. And by adding Dexter. Lawrence, Jonathan Allen, Kyle Duggar, Cassius Howell, Boye Maffe. I think they're going to have a top 20 defense. You also look in their division, old Aaron Rodgers twice, the Browns quarterback situation twice. I think Burrow, when he doesn't have to only win by track meet, is a playoff quarterback. I have them at 10.

Number

nine. I would say the Houston Texans, best defense in the league by a margin. Listen, they won ten of their last eleven games. I'm a fan of CJ Stroud, although the last two years, too many mistakes. They return ten of the eleven starters that made their defense that shut down the LA Rams.
