And you just finished telling me that you've got a head cold because you are an extra parent right now. You You are the parent plus. You may not think of yourself that way, but you know, you're getting cold because you're around kids.
I don't know. I really have no idea. But yeah, like at the beginning of last week, I was feeling a little something. And then with all the weather changes, it got the best of me. I was a mess all weekend. I'm really bad at sitting still. So I tried my best to relax, but yeah, so I'm over it now. I can breathe. You know, one nostril was completely plugged up until last night.
So I'm in a very exciting position today with two nostrils working.
Oh, God. When the two nostrils, when the second nostril kicks in, you feel like a whole new person. You and Dan do quite a few things with his kids.

We've mostly just had the kids, obviously, the little kids, at the Iceland home. And it's a ride having them. I'm usually there, you know, lately I've been going like 10 days, 14 days. But I'm only allowed so much time in Iceland. People have asked me this question a lot. You know, are you moving to Iceland? No, I'm not moving to Iceland. It would be virtually impossible.
Like any other country in the world, folks, there are rules. You can't just pick up and move into a country. Whether your intention is to marry an Icelandic person or not, it is a very arduous, long process. I'm very proud to be Canadian. Thortis loves that I'm Canadian.

So the December goes by. I leave December the 30th. Now the calendar is moving. So let's say now all of January, I'm not there. Well, it erases basically as the scale moves, like in 180 day period, it's constantly moving.
It's like accruing vacation days almost, like in a workforce. Yeah?
Yeah. I'm not moving there. And I'm usually there half the time with Thortis, just on our own. And then half of it is with the kids. And I make sure that I'm going so that I am there when the kids are there. Because I love doing things with them. Although, as you say, getting colds and things like that. It happens. Yeah. Well, I've lived alone. I've been a bachelor living alone in the trees. Yeah.

And, you know, I'm someone that didn't even get COVID.

Well, you know, you wonder why, because I'm not around people that much. Even on the road, I very seldom wandered out of my dressing room. Anyway, my news is I hit the road here on Tuesday. I've got a whole bunch of stuff coming up, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival. I'm receiving a very... I feel very honored to be getting the Royal Conservatory. That's some kind of a nod to me.
I don't know if it's a... No big deal. Yeah. Well, no, it's really cool. Russ and I are going to play five songs with the String Quartet to kind of celebrate the Royal Conservatory. I think they do a lot for young musicians. Speaking of which, we're going to be speaking to a young musician that left us a voice note last week. And she was basically saying it's tough being a new artist.
It's tough getting exposure on a song. It's tough getting crowdfunding. And so... You know, when we did the podcast, I said, let's have this young woman on. So we're going to spend a few minutes. We're going to get to know her, where she's at, what she wants to be doing.
And yeah, her name is Suzanne Tripp, actually. And she's like country sort of folk. But we'll talk to her for a few minutes at the end of the episode because Jan's amazing and invited her on. So there you go.
I think it'll be really interesting to see what the landscape looks like for young artists. I think we all know that it's all about shameless self-promotion and social media weighs heavily into this stuff. You've been in radio for decades, Sarah.

Now, she just announced that she is actually putting out Confessions 2. It's a sequel to her 2005 record Confessions on a Dance Floor. And then also I knew Caitlin would love this.
She started talking like woo-woo astrology on stage in the middle of it all about like the moon and Aries and all these things. I don't know much about what that means, but Madonna did spend a few minutes with the Coachella crowd letting them know that we need to communicate with each other better. And that's what I meant. Okay. I mean, you can't argue that. No.

Oh, Lord. Well, me, I'd be out there with Bette Midler, or I'd be up there with Barbra Streisand, or I'd be up there with James Taylor. I'd be up there with Cat Stevens. Like, I think Cat Stevens would blow people's minds, like, to be up there singing anything with him. But like, let's say you're the Madonna. If I'm the Madonna, I mean, with a young person, I see what you're asking me.
I think there's an artist called Loreen. She's Swedish. Her huge song was Tattoo. She won the European Song Contest, Eurovision. But Loreen, it's L-O-R-E-E-N, Loreen. Or it could be L-A-U-R-E-E-N. I don't remember the spelling. But she is unbelievable. Like just to sing Harmony on Tattoo with her would be so amazing. She wears these nail things that are five inches long. They're like talons.
