Jackie O. Kyle and Jackie O. The Kyle and Jackie O Show. Morning. Hello, Jackie. Oh, God. What happened to Kyle? I've only just walked in like 10 minutes ago. Oh, it's been like stress and chaos. Everyone's running around. Something's happened to Kyle, right? Like, he's had a fall. Yeah, like an old man. Yeah, he's at that age where you don't say they've fallen over. They've had a fall.
He's had a fall and he's off the show.
Is that right?
We don't, okay. It's really hard to say at this point because normally if Kyle's sick, we'll get a, I'm not coming on air today, but this morning it's a, I might still be on air, but he's just trying to recover because you're right, he did have a fall and I got a very lengthy and detailed text that I'm happy to read. I don't know if I'll get in trouble, but I'm happy to read it.
I want to hear it. Yeah. All right, we can break this down because it's quite long, as I mentioned. So, hey, I've just fallen over quite bad naked, running from the shower to get a towel in the linen closet. Don't lie. Why? Why? Kyle, we could be out like literally around the corner and we're on air. We're missing the break on air. And he doesn't run.
Five seconds, five seconds, and everyone runs and Kyle doesn't run. Why is he running from the shower? What was he running towards? The linen closet to get a towel.
As if he's running.

Chapter 2: What details did Kyle share about his fall?
Speak soon.
He's fully concussed. I don't know. Peter, do you want to go around? I'm going to go over if that's okay. I don't think he might be delusional. Peter, I don't know that you need to go over, to be honest. To be honest, in these situations, I know sometimes he's a bit testy with me. I feel like this is a morning he probably needs me. No, because I – Yeah, we need you too, Peter.
We need you.
What about here? Oh, it's nice to be wanted. I love this, actually.
Don't fight over me.
We're up shit creek because Cooper's left. Oh, that's good though, right? We don't even have anyone. So I could be the new Cooper, like the fill-in. You know what, Peter? Yes, come on in. Oh, come in. Thank you. Oh, Peter, the day has finally arrived. Peter, the day's arrived. Now, you're Stephen Bradbury-ed it because there's nobody around. That's why you're here. Oh, okay.
But in saying that, I mean, you've spent years wanting this moment. That's right, yeah. Have you ever thought of things to bring to the table should you get the moment? I panicked right now, but just give me a second. Let's just keep shooting the hoo-ha and whatever else, which is good. Where's Cooper? Like, can we get him or not? We can't call him three days after he quits.
This is Peter's moment. We're about to shit all over it, but Cooper Johns is on the phone if you want to talk to him. Oh, Cooper, like you're not even available to come in. I know you left like three days ago and you've resigned, but I think like I've just got Peter now. Yeah, hello.
Yeah.

Chapter 3: How did the team react to Kyle's absence?
I'm happy to go and I can play the preggers card of like, let me in, I can chat to Tegan, you know. The only thing I'll say is I feel we haven't got luck on our side this morning. Carl's had a fall. Cooper's not here to do the show because he left a couple of days ago. You could give birth at any moment, and I feel if we send you out, it's just tempting fate. You know what I mean?
I feel like it will be that kind of morning. So who's the least valuable person apart from me now that I'm here? Who are you going to sacrifice on this unlucky day? Alfie. Alfie? No. Coffee. What am I going to do about coffee?
Oh, come on.
You can't take file and coffee away from me. Jackie, it's an espresso machine. I'm sure I can push the button. Oh, yeah, you can too, actually. It's actually all Alfie does is he puts a cup under it and pushes the button. So if we're talking about the least valuable, ding dong. It's either Alfie or DB, the boss, I suppose. What's he doing, right? Well, maybe we'll send Alfie. Where's Alfie?
Let's send Alfie because I'm confident Kyle's going to come on. He loves Pauline Hanson, loves Anthony Mundine. Yeah, you're tripping. Come on, Jackie. You're all about positivity and loving life. Yeah, I'm realistic as well. I'd be absolutely – what do you think, Cooper? I think there's absolutely no chance he's coming on tonight. Let's be real.
I don't know what you think's changed in the last six weeks of the show being off, but he hasn't turned into Mother Teresa overnight. Jackie, do you remember the time we went over to Kyle's place to check up on him, you and I? Yeah. And one of his assistants chased us away? Who was that, that assistant? Do you remember? Yeah, it was the butler. Oh, the butler. That's right.
And he pulled up as fast as he could in his car. And he's like, oh, you can't be here. What do you think happened there?

Chapter 4: What updates are there about Kyle's condition?
I reckon because we went – it was almost like a welfare check that we did on Kyle. We buzzed the buzzer at his house, right? No answer. But I knew he was in there. So he would have seen me on the intercom. And then – I buzzed for a little bit longer and then out of nowhere, like the Batmobile, comes flying around the corner, this black BMW, the butler pulls up. Oh, God.
Oh, so he's had a call. He's had a call. Get them out of here. And I was just checking in on him as a friend and I get shooed away.
Yeah.
He doesn't respect me. You've been shooed away multiple times. I've been shooed away so many times. I think I remember back at the old station you're telling the story when you went to go to his house, you agreed you were going to catch up and Lee was going to borrow some tools out of his shed. You even got there and you were sort of trying to get into the shed. Kyle just wouldn't let you in.
And Kyle was like, yeah, I was there. That's right. Oh, my God. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that butler took his job very, very seriously, didn't he? Too seriously because he used to sit up here on the show and sort of give us feedback on what we know. That was another one you hated, wasn't it, Pete? I wouldn't say I hated. Excuse me. We've got the audio to prove.
We do have that audio. Should we listen to that? We should. I love that.
Yeah. Hey, while we've got Cooper on the phone, though, and Kyle's not here, should we find out what actually happened with that car that Kyle sold him? Like, was it a lemon? Because remember, his car broke down. Oh, yeah. So Kyle sold you one of his cars. Then what happened? Is it still broken, Coops?
smoke cut, it started coming profusely out of the bonnet, and I thought it was going to blow up, so I just pulled over in the middle of the road and started running up to a safe distance. Oh, my God. Yeah. Look, if I told you what piece of equipment underneath the engine actually sort of blew up with it, you wouldn't even know. It's like a harmonica or something.
Sounds like you don't know what it's called. Yeah. I had no idea. So you've taken it to the mechanic and they're fixing it. How much is that, the harmonica fix? I couldn't drive it. I had to get a tow, which took four hours. So I went to the pub and just got drunk while I waited for the tow. And then when I come back, I had a parking ticket as well. Classic. And the tow... Yeah.

Chapter 5: What happened to Kyle this morning?
Very real. His wife or girlfriend is in the audience watching this and it looks like they're so in love with each other. Yeah, so I think you two should do that as well. We'll commit to it, Alfie. Yeah, I'm happy with that, Jackie. Trust me. We've got the karaoke machine set up. We'll put it to the test. It's coming up. Why can't I turn my own mic on?
Chapter 6: What karaoke machine did Jackie get for Christmas?
I don't know, babe. Why is your mic not going on this morning? Peter, where were you to film? Sorry, I was looking at Alfie's sunglasses he's wearing. He's in here for the segment. How exciting. Good morning Australia. It's all happening. It's the Kyle and Jackie O Show. Kyle did have a fall this morning, so intern Peter's joining us, and it's all just a little bit chaotic here.
Kyle and Jackie O's Friday Duets. I got a karaoke machine over Christmas and I loved it. I feel like everyone is doing karaoke at the moment. Yeah, I've got one.
Yeah, you've got one.
I saw your one and you... I mean, you could obviously buy whatever karaoke machine you want, but where did you get yours from? Do you know, it was just like $120 on Amazon. Oh, yeah. On Amazon because whenever you turn it on, guys, it starts doing all the weird like Asian languages and stuff. Like it's just straight from China, I'm imagining.
Chapter 7: How does Jackie feel about her karaoke performance?
Yeah, I should have invested more. I didn't think I was going to love it that much. I thought I would do it once and be like, oh, yeah, that was a fad. But I really like it. How good. And it's not just you, Brooklyn. I've got like about three other friends who got karaoke machines all of a sudden. It's a thing. What has even influenced us?
I don't understand.
I don't know. Because we all got it independently without knowing each other got them. There must be some mind control, you know, that Instagram's trialing. There's got to be subliminal messages out there we're getting fed that we're unaware of. Anyway, so when I was doing karaoke, one of the songs I did was Shallow. And at home, it sounded really good to me.
I thought, wow, I've improved somewhat. And I thought we'd put it to the test today. But, you know, when you make a grand claim and then the time actually comes to show up. That's happened to me multiple times, yeah.
Chapter 8: What are the upcoming guests on the show?
You know that moment before you have to actually come through with the goods, you realise, what have I done? I don't think – I don't know if I can do this or I have improved. It's sort of dawning on me that I might fail miserably. Well, Jax – sorry, Maya here. Did you remember you did a performance of this with Chris Minns, our premier, a little while back? What? Chris Minns did it.
Yeah, because he's really good with the guitar, so we got you guys to do a duet. Did he sing? Yeah. Oh, no. He played the guitar, right? Oh, that's right, with the guitar. Who sang Bradley Cooper? He sung Little Bits, but you were the main item. It's pro ad nat here. He kind of started off and then pulled right back. Oh, that's right. And you went all in, and it's no good. We've got the audio.
So we have a comparison to see if I have improved. Okay.
Here we go.
Go. Tell me something, girl. Go. Wow. Are you happy with this modern world? Or do you need more? Is there something else you're searching for? Wow, you look too bad, actually. In all the good times I find myself longing for change. Oh, God, sorry. I don't know what that is. I don't want to put the audience through a double hit of me singing this.
No, no, I want you to hear what this part sounds like. I'm at the deep end, watch as I dive in. I'll never meet the crowd. Okay, I think we should stop right there. Okay, all right, so we get the gist. The bar is very low. The bar's low. Okay, Alfie, you're going to be Bradley Cooper's part. Have you been practising? Yeah, all night, in the morning, everything. All right, let's get our mics.
Let's go over here to the floor. This is going to be great. You can hear me fine, right? Yeah, you sound great. There's a lot of echo, guys. Anyway, we'll just roll with it. Okay, whenever you're ready, let's hit it. How he's got his sunnies on. He's looking the part. There's not much connection between the two of you yet. No, don't get up on me, but just eye contact. Yes, ma'am.
Tell me something, girl. Are you happy in this morning?
Is there something else you're searching for? I'm falling. Nice. In all the good times I find myself longing for change.
