Be open-minded to learning more.
And I think that... It spans the globe like a super high school internet. Elvis, ready. Today, Apple is going to reinvent the phone. It's not over until I win. The Living Your Legacy podcast for those who live to leave a legacy.

Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to another episode of the Living Your Legacy podcast. I'm your host for today, Jason Tyler, and I am joined by Dr. Becky Coates of Dallas, Texas. Dr. Becky, welcome to the show. Pleasure to have you on. Thank you. Now, we just finished recording your episode of America's Best Doctors, and I'll tell you, i have like we mentioned this a little bit in the episode i got like a weird relationship with the dentist i think a lot of the audience members out there can probably relate but your story is one uh that i really enjoyed being able to help tell talk to me about what what do you think you want like your the main lesson to be for people to learn from your story
Most people that are silently suffering with issues that we treat in our wellness center, such as my jaw hurts, I have neck pain, they rub right here in their jaw, they can't open wide, or they have poor sleep, or they may have a little bit of background on how they may have like a small jaw or a tongue tie. Those type of patients will come to see us, right? But many people who already have pain just in suffering from their conditions that we mentioned also may have that underlying, like you mentioned, kind of like fear or phobia of dentistry. Not necessarily that they remember a bad experience or anything like that, but it could be inherited like their parents didn't like dentists or going, so maybe they didn't go.
So there's not necessarily anything... bad experience.
It's like a generational trauma that gets passed on.
And it's just kind of like an unknown thing. So you kind of like shy away from going to the dentist. But the good news is that our team is really well prepared to help people with like those issues, not just like trauma or physical jaw issues, but just that underlying kind of uneasy sense about going to the dentist. So there's really some really comfort measures we have in our office. It's very friendly. Like we have a massage chair that which I've had this chair for like so long for like probably 15 years. And it's like one of those sort of like floating chairs. So people, when they first arrive, they're just kind of at ease and they just kind of in this massage chair. Then as they come into our practice, they may be more sensory oriented.
So they may have something like, you know, certain noises bother them.
Mm hmm. I'm one of those.
Yeah.
So anytime they're doing when they're doing a cleaning and they have like a little the little polisher, the noise that that makes when it's on your tooth drives me up. So that's actually it drives me crazy. But it goes back to what we were talking about in your episode. Like, you guys utilize so many different things to put people at ease in your wellness center.
