Speaking of people being drunk, I found that Ipsos poll this morning so triggering. If that's the level of brainpower we're taking to the election, I'm deeply worried for this country. I'm so concerned about it.
I think you shouldn't be, and I honestly believe it's one, opt-in, and two, it's Ipsoft with a sense of humour. They just put out random numbers. They're sitting in the office looking at the coverage going, can you believe how thick these people are? I don't think it's a real poll. I think it's an invented poll. You've got to be aware of opt-ins. You can't tell me that you ring up the bulk of people and you go, hey, how about that chippy in his economic? And you go, yeah, bring it back. Bring it back.
Because I think after the election, amidst all the coalition negotiations and talks, there should also be deep analysis and coverage on polling and whether it's done its time because it seems this year wild. The polling seems more crazy than ever and it would be interesting to see whether there's a disconnect between what happens and the polling or whether it in fact is spot on and we're living in a country we don't understand.
How does the newly inked Northern Expressway deal affect weekend travel and the region?
I don't think for one second that the polling's accurate and I've said so a million times and I think the only thing you can do is take just a big collection of the current polls, mash them all together, get an average negative.
