But before that, how about our letter of the week? And this comes to us from Joseph. Last week, last episode, 59, we talked about confrontations. And man, did we get a lot of feedback on that episode.
A lot of people
with their own confrontations. some very stressful ones very tense ones a lot of observations on the ones that we told you about well i thought this was food for thought from joseph he said i enjoyed the episode about confrontation even if george's stories about mean karens and drunk chads spiked my cortisol I'm a 35 year old man in the best physical and mental shape of my life. Yet I still find myself shying away from these types of confrontations. Like Craig, I tend to size up potential opponents nine times out of 10. I'm confident that I would physically destroy them on the battlefield, but I avoid confrontation to a point where it never gets close to that. I'm just not wired that way. I'm wondering if you guys feel the same way I do, that the year 2020 and all of its happenings somewhat broke something in a lot of people.
Because I feel over the past six years, I see more people in public. seeming to look for confrontation wherever they can find it. The frequency at which I see mean, rude, or self-centered people seems to be at an all-time high. I grew up with the golden rule and still believe that we should simply treat others the way we wish to be treated, but it seems like 98% of the world forgot that somewhere over the past decade. six years.
That's a really interesting point. I think online, it seems like we have more confrontation. And that's what I referred to in that episode. The next thing you know, when you get online, you start going through whatever your social media is, you see a lot of conflicts in a lot of different places. But just in everyday life and And being at a game or, you know, being at a restaurant, I haven't noticed just a huge uptick. The only place I really notice it is on media, social media. And then anytime you watch TV, it seems like, well, this happened. And, you know, look at all the stadium fights that are put out. Those didn't used to get put out as much. And I don't know. Is it a reality or is it just the coverage of things like that?
Yeah, I don't know that I've noticed more in person. Like, I haven't witnessed more conflict. I haven't either. So, yeah, I don't know. Maybe this guy is just living in a weird area, a very conflicty area.
I think I kind of agree with the guy though. I think I have noticed more people that are looking for a fight. Maybe it never gets to the point of a fight, but I feel like, and especially because our political arena is so supercharged these days that people walk around, you know, wearing the t-shirt of their favorite political candidate. And I feel like where the flags and signs that fly in people's yards are more in your face than they used
to be. And I
