I am doing wonderful. Good, good. I'm going to do a PSA, a public service announcement. That you're wearing shorts? Well, I am wearing shorts with no socks.

I skated the other day with shorts on. It was beautiful. It was a beautiful thing. I felt free. The air was going up. Anyway, we'll talk about that later. Fresh air, Dubs.

It's hot. Okay. So yesterday, no, not Tommy News. This is Larry News. And I want to put a PSA out there because I took, Larry hasn't been to the vet in a while. Wanted to take Larry to the vet, get checked out, get all of her, you know, see blood work. And, you know, she's like 10 or 11 years old. And I put her in the carrier. She did not like the carrier. And then we got in the car. She's meowing like cats do. Typical cat carrier protocol. She's meowing, meowing, meowing. She started to pant in the car, in the carrier. She was like... And so I chat, GBT grokked, like, hey, what's going on? My cat's panting. And not a good thing when the cats start panting. They're trying to get oxygen in. They're kind of freaking out.
A very stressful situation. Because she hasn't been out the house in a minute. I mean, yeah, in a long time. Yeah. So I get there to the vet and they say, and I told her about it. I said, hey, listen, my cat started panting on the way here and meowing going crazy. And she's like, okay. They took her back, put her in the oxygen because they wanted to get her oxygen up. So got her oxygen up, level up and everything. They put me in like a little waiting room. And she came back and she was like, listen, Larry's very stressed out and we don't like it when they're panting because their oxygen levels go down. They checked the gums and they were a little white. So pink gums are good, white gums, little less oxygen.
And then when it starts to get purple, that's when you need to go to like the emergency room. I was kind of worried about Larry a little bit when we were going there, but then that really started making me worried. And so my initial gut reaction was like, when I first saw her panting in the car, I said, oh, I need to take her back home. That was my first reaction.
But I said, you know what? I'm going to the vet.
In a comfortable place where she knows. Yes. I said, you know what? I'm going to go. I've already made the appointment or whatever. My gut reaction was right. I should have just turned around, taken her home because of the stressful situation. Long story short, I sped back home with Larry, got her back into her environment. She stopped panting. She started to... She seemed a little stressed out still, but then she started to groom herself again and she started to, she ate a little treat and she ate some food and everything. So I just want people out there to know that if you get their cat in the carrier and they start panting, I'm not gonna, I'm not a doctor by any means. I'm just saying like what I should have done and I would have done just by talking to the vet, I would have just gone back home immediately, immediately gone back home and let Larry go back into her normal environment and then maybe look into like a home vets that can come in.
