I mean, I know it's been sort of a acrimonious situation there between McCutcheon and the team, given how long this has lasted, but I think, you know, they owe it to their team, their pitchers, their fans to try to upgrade as best they can. And, With all due respect, I think Marcel Lozuna, even though he's coming off one of his worst years that he's had recently, is still a legitimate hitter. Everyone will remember him for his lime green sleeve that he wears. But with the Braves for many years, he's been very successful. So I think it is an upgrade. It's a one-year $12 million deal with a mutual option. So, yeah, I think they had to get one more bat.
Is this the right bat? We'll find out. He's, again, coming off a bad year for him. But I think in this lineup, the other thing he'll do, Joe, is he's going to make Reynolds and Cruz likely better as well. You need hitters around hitters, and it brings out the best in some of them. Let's hope so, right? There's a slight whiff here of previous aging pirate signees coming here to go out to pasture.
