So even though they deserve to be there, they are still making fools of themselves by arguing the way they are, not arguing, by ripping the ACC, by claiming the ACC should have stood up for them or at least not stood up for Miami against them, which is ridiculous because Miami's in the ACC for football. Notre Dame's not. Bob. Notre Dame kept all its money from the college football playoff last year. All $20 million of it. Didn't share a penny with the ACC. And that's why I don't cry for them. They've decided they're going to go on their own and this is what you get when you do that too.
So I think it's bad to say that they're guaranteed because then, let's say there are people on that committee who don't want to rank them based on that. You can also hurt them by not, you know, they may not be ranked. If you start 0-2, you dig yourself a hole that's hard to come out from. And that's the thing they faced. So they came out from it, but they didn't have all that many great wins on their schedule. And they lost head-to-head to the team that beat them out. So you can't cry on that.
