Uh one of them is the national championship game coming up uh tonight between Indiana and Miami. What a what an amazing turnaround uh Kurt Signetti has done with that program. Uh And just the number of people he brought in, their culture, how it's changed. I mean, just three years ago and they were considered a doormat. Nobody thought Indiana was anything but a basketball school. When you heard Hoosiers, you thought Bobby Knight.
When you heard Hoosiers, you thought uh basketball only. Now all of a sudden it is the best team in college football, which is why they are an eight point favorite tonight against Miami, which is playing essentially a home game. It's not often that you're an eight point favorite playing what amounts to a road game in a college championship, Sean, but that's exactly what Indiana is. They're a a heavy favorite. I think they're going to win, but it makes me wonder, everyone's betting on Indiana, that line has gone up, up, up. I don't know if I like that. If I'm Miami, I may just put the points and take the points and put a uh wager on that. Indiana
has passed every test. They have vastly exceeded expectations, which for the first time to your point ever, they had some expectations heading into this season. They've continued it through the playoffs. They've looked dominant for the most part. It is a lot of pressure, however, right? I mean, they're the team that's undefeated and expected to win in number one and everyone's been talking about them. I think it's a a situation where Miami probably feels like it has nothing to lose, even though it's playing at home. So that puts a little pressure on there. It would be devastating for the Hoosiers if they don't win the championship now, right? I mean it seems like this has been destiny to get to this point to knock off all these giants.
And now if you come up one game short I don't know that we will look at them nearly the same for the turnaround if they don't finish it with the championship. So I think there's a lot of pressure. Now they've handled pressure wonderfully all season. I don't expect that to change tonight, but it certainly is a little bit different for everyone expecting them to close it out and win this game.
And if you look at their last three wins, you can't get any bigger than them. Ohio State Alabama And then Oregon. And they've blown out the last two. And it's amazing the numbers you see with Fernando Mendoza, the fact that he has eight touchdowns and only five incompletions. The guy just he's amazing what he's been able to do. And he's a I don't know about you, but a lot of people don't like his personality. I love his personality. I love how he speaks. I think he's full of joy.
