Chris Miller previously served as Acting United States Secretary of Defense. Before that, Miller served as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center. Prior to serving in civilian leadership at the Department of Defense, Miller was a Green Beret, commanding 5th Special Forces Group in Iraq and Afghanistan.
