So like we do in all of our tea leaves, we will begin with a quick recap of the last episode.
So last episode began with classes.
How does the trio plan to deal with Snape's suspicions?
Classes at Hogwarts officially began. And a major focus of the last episode was Quidditch. So we had our first flying lesson with Malfoy, the whole remember all debacle. And then after that, we had the troll, the first Quidditch match. And the Midnight Duel, which is important. The trio discovers Fluffy. And we ended with Christmas, where Harry gets his invisibility cloak and visits the Mirror of Erised. So we are set up for a very interesting episode today. And the very first thing that we have is Hagrid.
What lessons do Harry and Hermione learn from their encounter with Voldemort?
Because now the drama on the Philosopher's Stone, the Sorcerer's Stone, is really heating up. Because we are now slowly finding out more and more information about Fluffy and about the stone. So, in their midnight duel last episode, they were found out. Of course, Malfoy set them up, and he set filter on them, and they had to run through the halls, and they accidentally went into the third floor corridor, which... was naturally easily accessible with a simple unlocking spell. Thank you, Hermione. Let's just ignore that, I guess. Maybe they should fix that. Maybe the door should just break. I don't know. We'll see. And they just conveniently spill right into the hallway, and there is Fluffy. It is a pretty convenient situation, I'll be honest, but truthfully, I don't really see a way around it because they have to somehow find Fluffy.
Students can't just be going to their class and be like, oh, there's Fluffy. They have to have a reason to be trying to get very far away, to be diving into the castle. Why it was so easily accessible, I don't know. I don't know. But it definitely was. So they found it.
How does Hagrid's relationship with Norbert evolve?
But the very first thing that I want to do in this episode is Hagrid's going to spill the beans. And that's kind of what he did in the film, in the book. I definitely want to keep that train going where he says, oh, Fluffy, oh, Fluffy's harmless. And then they say, oh, Fluffy, is that the dog? Like, you know this dog? And I was like, oh, no, no, no. Very, very funny. And then, of course, somehow find out Hagrid also spills the beans that all you need to do is play a little bit of music and Fluffy will go right to sleep. Well, I shouldn't have said that. It's always such a good moment to see that. So Hagrid gives them information. Hagrid is giving away quite the bounty of information, in fact. So it is painfully obvious what the trio now must do.
And of course, this is a plot moment.
