And they're they're back in terms of Mahomes looking like Patrick and Kelsey looking like Kelsey and the defense looking um looking uh better, although they did give up thirty points last night. Um but um Jonathan Taylor is a a pill. Um and um and this defense, you know, um, six days after taking care of business against uh a Broncos offense that was loaded for bear. Um, still stood tall when they needed to. I mean Karloftis Um and uh the rest of that defense got the pressure when they needed to get it on. uh the stick and, you know, Chris Jones with a big stop of Jonathan Taylor on occasion, um, in overtime that led to a decision to uh kick a field goal to give the ball back to the Chiefs for the win.
Um the Chiefs are back in terms of the rest of the country thinking that the reps are in their back pocket and fatigue. Uh fatigued of uh everyone talking about the Chiefs from Collinsworth to shows like mine every day. Um so uh the Chiefs are back in every possible way and it's It's I I think the league's better for it. Um I know I get a lot of pushback when I say it on my show, but it's the truth and um and I'm I'm looking forward to where it goes from here.
Are so are you a believer? You said a lot there. There's a l a lot of ground that was covered. One thing I wanna underscore 'cause we we we had not said it and and you you made a great point. You know, this was a short week. Like if you're looking at like why didn't you beat the Colts by more, they oh they had a short week and yet they were still able to get it done. And I think that's one of the things that should be remembered here that, you know, at the end it's about wins and losses. There's no rankings coming out. It's just about getting the wins and and they got it done on a on a short week. But um You know, are you a believer that leagues are better with villains? You know, having the Yankees or Red Sox in baseball Yankees and Dodgers for each of the leagues to hate and complain about winning all the time.

Well, again, I I don't think the Chiefs are viewed as villains, you know. Um I I I I don't know how you could hate Mahomes. Um you know. I don't know how you know what I mean, in the same way you couldn't hate Curry. Um, you know, there there's there's no I mean, how do you hate Kelsey? Um, Andy Reed. There's it's just when you constantly lose to a team and a team is dynastic Um people get sick and tired of watching you win. Um, you hate y you know, you hate Taylor Swift, you gotta you gotta check yourself. Like she's on camera a grand total aggregate of a minute out of a three and a half hour broadcast. Um, and she's doing things that, you know, everybody wants their spouse to do, which is cheer on Um, cheer on their um their their their their spouse, their partner.
I mean So uh but it's just th everyone gets got sick and tired of the Chiefs winning. Uh, which is funny because it didn't really happen for fifty years. Yeah.
