Chapter 3: How does Seth Kaiser evaluate the Chiefs' offseason decisions?
That VIP is a lot of fun. So get registered for that. All right. Let's start with a little Matt Quattrero. Some we haven't heard yet today. Let's talk about, uh, the pitching for the can't see roles giving up only one run last night. Quattrero said the pitching was good all night. Yeah. I mean, even going back to Chris, I mean, he, you know, he worked hard. They, they make you work.
I mean, you can get ahead of them, but it's hard to put them away. Um, and just to limit them to one run is extremely impressive, but you know, especially, you know, Shriver had a good inning. Um, And, you know, then Lynch had a really good inning. And Strom had to work the hardest, you know, getting first and third nobody out, a big strikeout there.
Chapter 4: What are the implications of the Chiefs' draft strategy on their future?
Or, sorry, one out and a big strikeout there. And then, obviously, Lucas, too. I mean, they made you work. I think each of those guys threw 20-plus pitches once Lynch came in. So those are tough innings. He's right. They are tough innings. And Chris Bubich wasn't vintage Chris Bubich as he gave up eight base runners in five innings, four hits, four walks, allowed just the one run, though.
Did strike out six. Keeping the strikeouts up, but the walkouts are the walks, not the walkouts. The walks are up a little bit this year.
A lot of pitches with 27 or 28 pitches in the first inning. I knew he wasn't going to pitch. He wasn't going eight last night. They really made him work.

He's gone three of the last five but had a day off in between. You know, could be interesting who's available out of the bullpen.
It'd be nice to just not need them.

Chapter 6: How does the Chiefs' defense compare to their offense after the draft?
Like you said, I think that was kind of in the back of his head. He's like, well, they made you work. I think we're going to see Mason Black tonight. He hasn't pitched for three days, so I think one way or the other, the first guy out of the pen will probably be Mason Black tonight. But three out of five for Mears, three out of five for Erseg. Daniel Lynch has gone three out of five.
He had a five-pitch and nine-pitch on Friday and Saturday. Didn't pitch Sunday or Monday, so maybe he comes back, but I think they'd probably like to stay away from that. This will be a nice night to get some length.
8-4-1-1-3-8. That would be the line score you're looking for from tonight's starter.

Chapter 7: What are the expectations for the Chiefs' performance this upcoming season?
There's no doubt about that. All right. More from Matt Quattrero after last night's game. Asked about the high pitch count. You know, Curtis said it made Boobage work. Mm-hmm. I think it's more on them. I mean, I'm sure he would like to have a little bit sharper command, but they make you worry.
I mean, he was ahead of a lot of guys, and they just kept fouling balls off, and that's not unique to Chris. I mean, they've been doing that all year. It's hard to put him away, but I'm sure that he's not going to be happy with the walks, but to limit them to one run over five plus, that's impressive.
Fifty pitches the first two innings. And there were two strikes on four of the six batters he faced in the first and three of the five he faced in the second. So I don't know if he was ahead. He was certainly ahead on at least three of them.
Chapter 8: What is the current status of LIV Golf and its future?
Do we have a lineup yet for tonight? I've not seen that yet. We're at about that time.
About that time. It's a West Coast game, 840 start. So a little bit later on, on when those lineups come out. Vinny Pascantino, we're not expecting to be in the lineup. He left the game early. Back tightness and something that Matt Cotrero, we played earlier, said that he's kind of been dealing with all along. So we'll see if we, when we get that lineup, what they do.
Michael Massey entered the game and they moved Nick Lofton over to first base, right? That was the move that they made. Last night, I want to double check that. Yeah, Lofton's at first. And then Lofton moved over from second to first, and Massey played second. So Nick Lofton, Salvador Perez, Jack Caglione. Is there a reason why we're not? Jack Caglione can't put a first baseman in the middle.
Here we go. The lineup is out. Okay. Perfect timing. And it is Garcia, Witt. Jensen behind the plate, Perez at first. Okay. Massey, Collins, Caglione, and a DH, Thomas in right, Isbell in center. Garcia, Witt, Jensen, Perez, Massey, Collins, Caglione, Thomas, Isbell.
Walker versus Severino tonight. The Royals a minus 120 favorite. Severino's got an ERA over five, I believe, coming into this. So this would be a nice one. for the Royals to go ahead and pick up.

They're not favored, though. Sacramento is favored minus 120. Luis Severino is supposed to be better than his ERA, but Michael Walker has clearly been the better pitcher this year.
Yep. But keep it rolling. Then you go into a day game tomorrow, and they can go for the sweep. Nice, happy, another happy plane ride to Seattle. That would be nice. It would be very nice. You can't sweep if you don't win two. So let's just keep the train going.
The Red Sox have placed ace Garrett Crochet on the 15-day disabled list with inflammation in his pitching shoulder. The latest early season setback for their star left-hander.
