All right, this is great. We had the Craig Cam for like four minutes. No, it's already broken. But we have uh we have three left and we're gonna talk about a movie that came out in two thousand nine that Van Lathan loves. Loves. I threw it at him and I said Dan, just curious, do you like law abiding citizen? You made it seem like this is one of your favorite movies.
It's one of my favorite theater going experiences I've ever had. What happened? Because so go to the Arc Light. So many memories at the Arc Light. And you're expecting a movie that's what was the movie with Ben Affleck and Samuel L. Jackson? Changing Lands. Changing Lands. I like that movie. So you're expecting something like that, right? Although you see explosions and stuff in the trailer, you're expecting something that's a little bit more grounded. And then you go to the movie and right off the bat, people in the theater are like, what the fuck is happening? brutal, surprising, absurd in the best way. Everyone in the thing, oh my God, what? Dudes was like, what the hell, bro? And since then I've had a love affair with the movie where I watch it every time it comes on TV.

vigilante movie. A 1970s tradition. Craig's least favorite rewatchable we ever did was Deathwish. That's a thing. Really genuinely hated it. The sexual assault scene in Deathwish is about as grim as it gets. Well, you thought it was about as grim, but you never saw Deathwish 2, which was as grim as it gets. That's yeah that's the nadir of all of these. But we had in the 70s Walking Tall, we Death Wish, Foxy Brown. That was a good one. Oh yeah. We had a lot of yeah, we had it like that. A lot of good ones. In the 70s, and then they kept kind of making them and trying to figure it out, but it kind of died. Um Well, it feels like
the revenge stuff got more sanitized. It turned into like take in and things like that. Yeah. Law abiding citizen go goes back to the old days of this is kind of like Peak 2000's revenge porn, I feel like Bangkok Craig did enjoy this because Bangkok Craig American Gangster, I was upset the way Denzel killed Idris Elba. It wasn't enough.

This movie gives you everything you want and more in terms of getting revenge and going the full nine yards.
Yeah, because the revenge thing kind of shifted toward like John Wick territory or taken where These this group of people did something to me. Right. We rarely have the I am gonna actually make a real statement about our legal system. And take out the entire city of Philadelphia basically. So I
I have a list coming up of that kind of explores this, but like The vigilante movies of the 70s and the 80s seem to be directly against like street crime. Like they're going against street crime. And it's like kind of racist. Yeah, yeah. Well, whoever the criminals of the day were, that's what they're gonna do. It's like
