All right, how you doing people? It is September 15th, 2026. Is it September 15th? You went a little fast for me. I only know the date by what I see here. Otherwise I have freaking no idea what's going on. People text me things during the day to tell me where to be and when to be there and that's it. Yes, it is September 15th, 2026. I'm Dave Rubin. This is the Rubin Report. I'm actually very, very excited for today's show. You guys know, I love doing what I do. I think we do a fun hour here with some, information and maybe a different look on what's going on in the world and the culture wars and the political madness and all that stuff. But I have to say, and I've kind of hinted at this over the last two weeks, but since I've been back from off the grid, August, there wasn't much.
I didn't feel like I missed too much. And in the two weeks that I've been back, I've just sort of felt, outside of the Lindsay Clancy thing, very, very weird, a certain set of people that support a woman who murdered her three kids, I felt like everything was kind of just feeling the same. It was a little repetitive and whatever. And not to dismiss any of that. It's still important to talk about. It's still important to expose this the socialists and the Islamists and all that stuff, it's still important to fight for the right ideas. I've just been feeling, I've said this to Phoenix a couple of times, I was like, I wanna find a new angle on something. What else is really going on here? And I'm telling you guys, this AI story, it's not that it's just what I've been looking for.
For some reason, I think this is the big one. There is something going on with this story and the dividing line on who is for regulation, who's for government control, and who's for innovation and freedom and capitalism and allowing markets to work and human ingenuity that is so obvious to me. There's such an op around it, the sudden, oh my God, the world's gonna end tomorrow, from the same people who told us climate change was gonna end the world, from the same people who told us COVID was gonna kill us all. There's something so interesting happening here, and it's so rich with all of the lessons. That's what it is. It's all of the lessons that I hope most of us have learned over the last, let's say, 15 years of being lied to about very fine people, and you gotta bow to BLM.
And now there's an op right in our face, and I think, perhaps enough of us are prepared to push back on it because something very weird is in the ether right now. So as you can see, I'm excited about the story. We're gonna dive really, really deep on it. And it's also, by the way, for those of you that maybe aren't so huge in the tech world and you don't really care about whether you got Grok or ChatGPT on your phone, I mean, this stuff is still gonna matter to you one way or another.
