It's always good to see you. As everyone knows, we've done this many times. You are the only person who ever brought me to tears on camera, and that record still stands. And I always challenge you to do it again. So let's see what happens today. Um, but look, your life in many ways, I uh we've done your bio many times, and for people that uh don't know your story, we'll link to some of our previous interviews just so you don't have to remember. Repeat all of that, but growing up in Lebanon, living through the Civil War, now becoming an incredible fighter for freedom and Western Ballas, all of those things. It seems to me that your warning to the West as it stands right now unfortunately has gone largely unheeded.
And the things that you have warned about, have been s you know, really screaming about from the top of the bell tower seem to be coming onto our shores. So I thought maybe an interesting way to start today's show. Can you go back to when you first Uncovered the Muslim Brotherhood plan for America. You gave a very famous speech that has been seen millions and millions of times before. When did you really realize this was the plan? And then let's sort of map out what has happened in the years since, as now everyone sees that, you know, clearly they're on our shores and there's a move through the Democrat Party.
Well, I started recognizing the signs in the United States around two thousand and four, two thousand and five. Uh, because remember, I survived Islamic terrorism and I came from a country which is a republic, exactly like the United States of America, where we vote our elected officials in. They represent the people. Uh Lebanon wa really was very different than the rest of the countries in the Middle East. With the exception of the state of Israel, which was a democratic country where their elected officials were elected by the people. And so I have seen in my lifetime how once the Islamists took a foothold in the country, they transformed the country. So when I came to America and I started speaking after nine eleven, I used to say, My past is America's future unless America wakes up today.
And we start taking action to turn the ship around because I could see what was coming because I had just left it. In my mind, it was fresh. I have seen this movie. I just walked out of that movie theater, which was my life. So when I read the Muslim Brotherhood Plan, uh, which it came to my attention in 2006-2007, after the United States government presented it. As evidence in the Holy Land Foundation trial in Dallas, Texas, where our government handed down 108 guilty verdicts to Muslim American and Muslim American organizations, raising money in the United States and to the tune of millions, over 12 million dollars, and sending it to the Middle East to support terrorist organizations, uh uh basically supporting.
Terrorism in the Middle East. That's when the plan, when I got my hands on the plan. And that's where I wrote in detail about the plan in my New York Times bestseller, which came out in 2008, titled They Must Be Stopped.
