All right, guys, how you doing? I'm Dave Rubin. This is the Rubin Report. It's June 30th, 2026. Before I do anything, happy birthday, mom. And your presence is that I will not tell everyone how old you are. I know you're big on that. Nobody will know you're a little older than me. That's all. Happy birthday, mom. Love ya. Something's coming a little later today. Stay home. Something might arrive at the door. That's all I'm saying. Okay, that's one thing. We have so much to do. Secondly, a lot of people are asking, The shoulder, although the bump is still there and I'm supposed to be wearing the sling, I'm a little better suddenly. Little better suddenly over the weekend, over the big birthday weekend. Something's happening here and I am getting stem cells tomorrow and like we did with my knee about a year and a half ago.
Joey's gonna come with me. We're gonna shoot a little mini documentary around it because it's cutting edge stuff. And I'm really looking forward to getting this thing right so that I can go off the grid in August in proper physical shape. And if you did not, we called open there with Michael Malice from yesterday. And if you didn't see it, it was a great sit down. And the reason I was not live in studio yesterday was because On Sunday night, I was at the Kennedy Center, which gave Bill Maher, my buddy Bill Maher, the award. It's the Mark Twain Prize for American Comedy. I think we got a couple pictures there. Yeah, there's me with Dr. Drew. Oh, and before we show you the picture of Bill Maher, Connor said to me, who is that other fella that you're standing with there?
I don't know who that is. That guy, his name, I was so excited to meet him, and none of you have heard of him, but his name is Jim or Jimmy Vallelay and he was one of the writers on the Golden Girls in season six and season seven and he wrote some of my favorite episodes and we had like one of the most enjoyable hour long conversations. I think he thought I was autistic with the amount of knowledge that I had and a couple other pictures. I think I got one with There's me and Bill together, which was great. It was just so great to see him on it. It was so worthwhile. And of course, Stephen A. Smith. They're gonna put it up on Netflix. The whole evening will be up on Netflix, I think in about a month. And it was just a great, it was a little bit of a roast, but it was a celebration of a guy that at times has been hated by the left, at times has been hated by the right.
But as I always talk about on this show, I think is trying to do something honorable and good. We're actually gonna play a couple clips from before the event and something from real time in just a second because he had JD Vance on. And just real quick, it was my birthday weekend. I had a great, oh, and there's Fetterman. Fetterman showed up too. And we'll have a bit more on him in just a second. But it was my birthday weekend. I had a great, And the guys surprised me. I can't show you the full thing, but they created this 20 minute video of some of our favorite people, some of my favorite people, just wishing me a happy birthday. And some of the people said, you know, private, very heartfelt things. And it was really great.
So you're just getting to see a couple of people. There's Tony Robbins and there's David Zucker and obviously Larry Elder and there's Dennis Prager and Corolla and Dr. Drew and Jillian and Sage, who else? And there's Bill. And it was just, it was a great, that was like as good a gift as you could possibly get. Anyway, I'm feeling good about life. I know I was a little ornery last week with my arm, but as it's getting better, I'm feeling a little bit better. So let's just dive right in. And to no surprise, we're gonna spend most of the show talking about how crazy the Democrats have gone and what we're gonna have to do about that.
