Episode 75 - Evidence-based medicine has been a big focus in the medical field. If you can’t back up a plan with some kind of study or data point, we’re going to question whether it’s the right plan. We don’t apply that same level of scientific inquiry to all situations though. Take our businesses for example. Are you committing yourself to data-backed decision making on a regular basis when it comes to hiring and firing, or taxes, business growth strategies, I think we tend to go with our gut or just try things and see what happens. There’s a place for that, but I think we ignore data a lot of times in our businesses and just act on instinct.
