Isabel got involved in coaching after encouragement from other parents, despite not having extensive racing experience herself as a child. Isabelle discusses the progression of ski programming for kids, from learn to ski to development teams and competitive alpine race teams. Isabelle notes that equipment needs and costs increase as children advance, but emphasizes the importance of finding hand-me-downs and used gear through team networks. For Isabelle, coaching has provided dedicated time with her own children while allowing her to stay active and involved in a sport she's passionate about. For Isabel’s family, typical apres-ski activities include hot tubs, snacks, and early bedtimes for tired kids.
